I'm looking for advice on how to manage my Digital Ocean VPS.

Someone to guide me by email, or even better, to meet in person, in Bangkok, and answer my questions.

Elementary/beginner questions, nothing exotic.
No "development", just server administration.
No web site building or SEO.

Specific examples:

• How to initiate a droplet for cloud storage?
• How to set up ftp to that storage?
• How to use a virtual machine?
• How to change IP address regularly?
• How to set up a firewall on Digital Ocean? (Do I even need a firewall?)
• And more.
  

Paid, hourly, temp job.
Not expecting free advice on this forum -- just posting the job notice here.

English doesn't have to be perfect, but must be good enough to handle all the technical details.

No remote viewing.

I have lots of experience doing these sorts of projects by email.
Or, if you have plans to visit Bangkok in next few months, that would be excellent.

Rate of pay will only be discussed privately with individuals who have the needed skill -- not here on the public forum.
No agents, brokers, or "teams" -- just individuals.

I welcome questions about any of this.

Side note:

I'm already aware of the "technical support", FAQs, and tutorials on the Digital Ocean website.

I'm also aware of the big freelance web sites like Upwork and Elance.
Based on much past experience over the years, I prefer not use use those sorts of freelancer web sites.
(Not a topic I care to discuss here.)

I had a careful look at the course on the Udemy web site.

Personally, I prefer to learn with a live person, one-on-one.
So I'm going to continue searching for that.

But here's a fresh approach ... perhaps useful for a man who wants to get into freelance work:

I've been searching for help with Digital Ocean, but without any success, so far.
That suggests a lack of skilled people in that realm.
Anyone with experience would likely be in demand.

The course suggested by Noir was surprisingly low cost:
It showed to me a "special offer" at SGD$ 15.00 (about USD $11.00).
That's pocket change!
(Price probably varies by your location.)

Someone interested could take that course -- and maybe similar courses -- to gain skills and experience for freelance work.

If anyone here takes the Udemy course on Digital Ocean, I may be willing to be your first freelance customer.
After you learn, I'll pay you to teach me what you've learned.
For a beginner, the pay won't be a huge amount, but it will be a respectable hourly rate, plus you'll get a reference from a real client for your freelance work.
