As much as I hate to post a CNN article, this is great news! Previously Saudi Arabia was the hardest country in the world to visit as a traveller.

Soon the Saudi flag will be within reach for all us supercreeps. Yar!

Had no idea it was previously impossible to go as a tourist to Saudi Arabia. Just assumed no-one wanted to.

I had no idea that a Saudi visa was hard to get, for the simple reason that I never wanted to go, and still don't

I went to the hole in the sand known as Dubai and that was enough never to go back to that part of the world

They'll probably keep you locked in at Riyadh. Can't even visit Mecca or Medina which unfortunately are the only culturally significant cities in that country.

I'll pass on the shit hole. Take a look at the Riyadh datasheet in the travel section. No alcohol and no drugs. Throwing a party could get you arrested.

Yeah, if you don't play it cool, you can definitely get in all sorts of trouble there from my jail experience. Still can find alcohol and drugs over there with the right hookups. It'd be very difficult to do so though if you're going to be there for a limited time as a tourist. Even harder getting that Saudi flag without some really good logistics and not having any cockblockers for hotel doormen.

It's actually not as bad as it seems. If you're there to be an actual tourist, see some sites, and learn more about the history, I say go for it. If not, give it a pass unless you want the challenge of being able to bang out a Saudi girl. It can be done in a few hours if you find the right one.
