A few years ago, I had a traditional lawyer office. It had a big conference room, a waiting room, my private office, my partner's private office, leather bound books, yadda yadda. It cost me a fortune, but it looked cool. However, the only people in my space were the people I hired. As the boss, it's never a good idea to hit on your staff.

The world, it be a changin'. People take Uber instead of driving, we get our groceries / other stuff delivered directly to us via Amazon, and we download / stream the music us old guys used to have to buy at Sam Goody.

Well, the world of office space is changing, too, and mostly for small businesses.

The wave of the future is shared office space. Imagine going to work each day at a place that looks like Google headquarters, except you work for yourself. There is free coffee, fruit infused water, and beer. It's free to host events and give talks about whatever you do for a living. Now imagine that same space is inhabited by about 65% cute, single females.

That, my brothers, is the concept of WeWork.

Since this is a post about game, and not WeWork, I'll let you do the research on the specifics. (There are a lot of perks - they basically function as a large corporation to get you sweet corporate deals even as a small business. Like Lyft Corporate accounts, cellphone discounts, etc.) In terms of cost, it's $250 a month to access the common areas / conference rooms. If you want a physical office, it depends on how much space you want. Some people have a small one person office, other companies have 50+ desks.

From a day game perspective, it's the perfect setup. First off, you have an excuse to talk to every single woman in there, and take them on a date they can't decline.

"Hi there. I'm Hank. What do you do?"
"I make websites geared towards healthcare professionals."
"Oh really? Part of my law practice involves helping healthcare professionals. Let's get lunch next week and talk."

That was way easier than exchanging 50 text messages over Tinder or approaching random women in a coffee shop, right?

Second, your competition tends to be a lot of dudes in dad jeans, millennials, and non-executive level employees whose corporation opened up a satellite office. Granted, you'll have your real estate developers and actual executives, but for the most part, competition is sparse.

Third, they have multiple offices in various cities. The poon has dried up in your "home" office? You've overgamed? Just go work from a different office, even in the same city. Or a different city. In addition, given the nature of small businesses, you have a lot of turnover, meaning basically a stead crop of new girls all the time. Plus, since the women don't actually work for you, or for your company, you're not shitting where you eat.

If you work from home or own a small business, I would definitely recommend going the shared office space route. It's good for both business and game.

I looked on the website but couldn't find an answer. If you want to take a break and walk around or use the bathroom, do you have to pack up your stuff or is it safe to leave your laptop lying around? Do you lose your seat if you get up?

I've been to a few of these. They often host a lot of networking mixers, usually catered by a hot new local restaurant or chef. They have everything from a beanbag and an outlet to a private office where you can host your own customers.

There are cameras all over WeWork. People leave their laptops and other stuff out all the time. Guests have to be checked in and their picture taken. When in the common area, you're usually around a few people who you know, at least tangentially. The community managers are also pretty watchful.

I've been there for over a year, and there's never been an incident of theft that I'm aware of. I'm in a major urban city, too, and there is highly sensitive and confidential material on my electronic devices (damn did that sound badass). I have never been worried about my stuff getting stolen. If you left a device out unattended for a long time, I suspect a community manager would probably grab it and put it behind the desk.

Theoretically, you can lose your seat if you get up, so I'll just throw a jacket on the back of my chair or leave a coffee mug (provided by them) on the table where I'm sitting.

Availability of common space isn't really an issue, though. WeWork makes sure to limit the amount of memberships not to exceed the amount of available space, so you never feel cramped or like you're fighting for a spot. The experience is very fluid. I've worked at several WeWorks in my city, in other cities, and outside the country.

The only issue I've seen is people hogging the phone booths. Since music is playing all day, they have phone booths around the locations that have a small table and a VOIP phone. However, some people just camp out in the phone booths all day and make them into a free one person office. Why you would want to get shared office space only to sit in a phone booth all day, I do not know. However, I make all my important phone calls from my private office in the back where it's quiet, so I don't really care.

On most days, I work from the common area at a table with my paralegal, and we're usually joined by a few other real estate people. We almost always grab lunch with other people in the building. My paralegal is hot, which makes taking women out to lunch with us super easy.

In my opinion, it's all the perks of working at a corporation with none of the bullshit. I actually enjoy going to work every day.

Been at WeWork in So.Cal for the past year.

Some thoughts on game:

Positives:
-Easy to open (and network)- Social proof is established that you're a professional/entrepreneur
-Events are always happening
-Booze on tap (and even encouraged)
-WeWorks are all centrally located- meaning you can always go game after work, break, lunch downtown. Telling chicks you work inside a sky scrapper. Legit.

Negatives:
-A lot of 26+ and over women. You can watch them as they hit the wall. (hence not a lot of young 20 something year old gals)
-A lot of beta orbiters around cute chicks
-I haven't seen beer drinking women (at WW) attractive, AKA beer gut
-Conference rooms don't feel professional... too kiddy millenial.

Subtlety I have found as being key. Also, with the on going rampage of female victimhood and sexual assault claims (innocent until proven otherwise), the varying degrees of subtlety keep going. Vague, aloof, ambiguity, nonchalant are the first words to come to mind.

I did the wework tour here in Austin a couple days ago. Here was my experience:

Good:

-Really nice location and amenities, free beer etc.
-Seems to be filled with hard working people.
-Weekly events seem like great networking opportunities.

Bad:

-Two ghastly women working the front desk.
-Virtually no women at all, the place was full and I saw 1 cute girl.

I think I will still sign up for the pay-as-you go plan so I can check out wework in other cities while I'm traveling. I thought Philly was a great city in general for women last time I was there, so I'm sure my experience is just specific to Austin.

I've been to these kinds of places here in Southeast Asia and would definitely vouch for them. That they are a great place to work from, to meet inspirational and cool businesspeople as well as cute office girls.

I've never let anything happen between me and any women there because I value the place too much as an office space but the opportunity is definitely there if you want to play it that way! I would be curious to experience them in Europe or the USA and see if it's a similar kind of vibe.

That's the thing. She's not supposed to be a literal co-worker. She's just occupying the same physical space. So it has the "vibe" of being a co-worker with all the pre-selection benefits, but none of the ethical issues.

It's a gray area but it seems like all of the factors involved are in favor of gaming.

When I worked in this sort of environment, business were constantly moving in and out. Even if they stayed in the building they would sometimes expand and relocate elsewhere in the building. I know my company did.

This pace of natural churn, it seems, should be ideal. Long enough to build rapport but not so long as to get you tagged as a sexual predator or to have a string of exes casting you dirty looks as they pass by the watercooler.

Now, if something bad did happen, I suppose they could report you to WeWork and get you banned, but their individual HR departments can't do anything. I suspect that if word spreads and this becomes a fad that that's how the party will end. WeWork will treat everyone within the shared space as de-facto coworkers and implement a strict no-flirting policy.

Some of my random musings about picking up chicks at WW...

- Dress to stand out. Do not wear khakis and a button down or dad jeans. Either go all out and rock a suit, or wear something very stylish. I tend to mix it up. Sometimes it's a three piece suit, sometimes its jeans, Sperrys, and a backwards hat. Decent style will make chicks approach you and ask what you do for a living. Keep in mind that the women also on the prowl for either business or cock.

- Always work from the common area, if possible. I use my physical office for document storage, private meetings, and private phone calls. I've decorated it to the point where it looks absolutely baller, but I'm rarely in it.

- Stop wearing your headphones. They make you unapproachable. Headphones are for workouts. You want women and other business people to approach you.

- Invest in really good business cards. I went straight up Patrick Batemen. My business card has my name, email and cell on it. That's it. It's got painted edges and was designed by a local tattoo artist. My card is good for business, and I can give it to women. The card is such heavy stock that it's like you're getting a present when I give you one. Vistaprint doesn't cut it.

- Host some events and educational talks. Even if you don't meet women, you'll get some business.
