Low-cap "sleeper" coins
Speculators in today's market are realizing that a coin just having potential is enough to invest, even if it doesn't have much more than an idea, roadmap, and a team.

See IOTA as a great example of this.

Also, speculators are hoping for 20x gains or more in 2018 so I expect to see a lot of money flowing into small projects that have the potential for explosive growth.

What are your "sleeper" coins? What coins under 100M market cap can 10x are more in a short period of time if they only caught a little more attention? This is not my area of expertise but one coin I see that can 10x in 6 months is PRL, due its small market cap and the fact that is uses the tangle.

What else?

Aventus. Blocktix has 10xed and is a worse project imo. I can see 1000x 5% of the time but I have no idea what the realistic chances of blockchain protocols being adopted actually are.

ODN is making all the right moves to be a serious long term hold. Most of my initial issues with them have been addressed.
ENG is doing interesting things as well.

under 100m and still not noticed? I don't know any outside of big ICO's that are talked about. Anything worth anything Is over 200m now.

Monero (XMR) 5b+

XMR id high cap but I see this potentially challenging Bitcoin for the throne. It's just too good in terms of tech and user adoption, the main choice for the dark net. I can see 10x potential in the next 6 months.

OP I think you are actually looking for ICO's.

Hyped ICO's reliably 3-6x as long as the market isn't shitting itself.

Some of the recent ones were:

-wabi
-icx

soon:
-Rootstock ICO

DNA likely.

CND likely.

MOD likely.

RLC likely.

ODN maybe.

NEBL maybe.

BRD maybe.

HGT maybe.

I'd be very surprised if you were holding these coins over Q1'18 and didn't make a big overall profit. It's possible that some other coins, or combination of coins will be bigger gains, but you can't research and be in everything so you have to make your picks and take a shot.

E: Also COSS.

Verify (CRED)

Verify is Ethereum-powered reputation platform for e-commerce. Verify(CRED) is a token that helps making e-Commerce with crypto easier, because it secures that if you pay for a product with crypto that you will receive that product, and if somethings goes wrong that they will fix it.

Verify.as is the website.

Forbes Middle East already has an article of them.

https://www.forbesmiddleeast.com/en/cryp...on-in-ico/

This is a low cap coin (under 15m) that is only on Etherdelta. They have exchanges in the talks and once they list it’ll blow up. This product already has a PoC and a beta out so check it out.

Do your research; this is not financial advice.

Good call on NEBL and it looks like ODN is about to really start breaking resistance soon. I thought I was the only one that took a look at it a while back. Has a ton of room to grow being that it's a platform coin.

Publica (PBL) is still only at 58 million market cap, ranked around 278, although it is growing steadily. I have a few other lower cap coins but that is the one I have that looks the most promising.

Called it. This coin still has room to growth. Will be listed on Kucoin soon.

Why do you think RSK will be a low cap coin?? This to me is worth billions of dollars marketcap.

Electroneum (ETN) is highly touted as the coin to watch for 2018 (even more so than Cardano).

It already achieved 19x gains.

I've been keeping score actually. Counting USD gains as of right now (ie: market just went down by 20%).

Nebl 5.3x
COSS 4.9x
ODN 3.4x
DNA 2.9x
MOD 2.5x
CND 2.3x

Nothing is performing below btc, and only HGT is below eth (and I'm revising HGT to shitcoin status).

RE: Low-cap "sleeper" coins
Mysterium ($52M) - Decentralised VPN. This is a project run by pros and with serious backing. It's currently in development after a alpha phase. The site suggests the VPN market will be a $102B / year industry by 2022 and it's obviously an industry that is very friendly and accessible for people who hold coins; as opposed to other specific projects like medical record management - that's going to be a hard nut to crack. I consider this similar to SIACoin, which was for a long time worth very little and has recently popped $2B. However, that product is not having much traction as it's a smaller market. I'm really interested in decentralised VPN as I don't trust centralised options. With storage I am not really prepared to look into moving away from MEGZ.nz, particularly as SIA doesn't support my required syncing needs.

HumanIQ ($68M) - Financing platform with a solid team and good development over the last ~year, however not recived much attention. Over 50K Twitter followers.

Chronobank ($31M) - Good team that has been slowly working on a platform to facilitate payment of employees in crypto.

Eidoo - Attempt to provide a stable general coin wallet (much needed)

Monaco, Cryptopay, TENX (not so much) - Attempt to provide stable crypto debit cards

Presearch - Attempt to create a decentraised search engine

I'm particularly interested in ones that are likely to be used because they are linked to something that is of interest to the interests of many crypto holders, like VPN, lending, prediction markets, wallets, cards.

Does anyone know how to find out the circulating supply of new tokens that don't have information updated on CoinMarketCap yet? This info is needed to calculate market cap. For example, MOT looks interesting but I can't find the market cap or circulating supply anywhere.

This is what i question too.

The consept of a deletable blockchain is very interesting, as one would never require to store Terrabytes on private nodes. This will contribute centralization.

However they would need to get some exposure in order to 10x.

RE: Low-cap "sleeper" coins
FLASH - currently only available on Cryptopia and a few low volume exchanges.

It can do 25,000 transactions per second, where in comparison RaiBlocks can do only 7,000 tps. They've said they could scale it quite easily to 100k+ but are focusing on getting it out to more clients.

It was mooning hard a few days ago which is how I found out about it but it's stalled because Cryptopia until yesterday wasn't accepting new registrations.

The marketing for this coin is weak but the tech behind it works and they've already got paying clients so I expect this to take off when more people find out and it gets on more exchanges.

Also +1 for ITC (IoT Chain). "IOTA of China" it uses a blockchain + DAG subnet for scalability and has a working private testnet. Strong partnerships too. Weak marketing in the West so far, only on Huobi and a few other exchanges but that's changing in the upcoming months.

And that's exactly why these coins are still "sleeper" coins, when CMC hasn't even updated it. A bit of research can mostly lead you to the exact number. In case of MOT:

$200M MCAP doesn't even get you a spot in the top 200 anymore (which is at the same time pretty crazy).

Mysterium (MYST) is being thrown off Bittrex on January 26. I like the product and the team, so hoping it can get on Binance or Kucoin soon.

The news also strikes a good buy low opportunity. I got in in the mid $2, might load up on some more before the delisting.
