This is kinda odd but if I'm out at the bar or club or cafe and I look at a girl and smile or smirk, they NEVER reciprocate.

But then when I actually approach they're all laughs and the vibe is great.

I literally will get stone cold faces if I smile at a girl but then when I approach her things will be fine.

It's like I'm completely invisible and it fucks with my self-esteem because I'll smile at a girl at the club or smirk at her when she's looking at me and when I get these stone-cold faces I just think she thinks I'm ugly or something and shoot myself down without even approaching.

I know for a fact I'm not an ugly guy, I am skinny but I am tall and I do my best to dress well and be congruent with the environment.

Does anyone else deal with girls very rarely smiling at you?

Don't let it hurt your confidence.

In Thailand I was receiving no smiles at all except from pros and semi pros and I was banging girls left and right like theres no tomorrow. I really don't think there is a correlation between getting smiles and getting laid.

In the states I was getting eye fucked regularly but nearly every single night I ended up going home and wanking with a few exceptions.
In Ukraine I was getting smiles like crazy as well but never managed to pull a girl from a club.

I don't think it has anything to do with your looks to be honest.

If they are receiving your approach positively there has to be at least some sort of minor attraction.

If you're equivalating smiling with an IOI, then I wouldn't really recommend you judge their interest level solely off of that basis. Personally, I almost never smile at girls I like, especially not to gauge their interest level. There was a study done a while back that stated women are actually more attracted to guys who don't smile, just something to think about. I'm not suggesting you frown or anything, but maybe try keeping a neutral/natural expression.

To answer your question, I rarely ever get woman straight up smiling at me across a room, even when other IOI's are present. I always look at their eyes for the main source of determining their interest level, and I would recommend you pay far more attention to that because the eyes are probably the most telling part of nonverbal communication/body language.

You sound insecure. A good way to boost your self esteem and confidence is to find things you're interested in. Develop skills and expertise in those areas and become an accomplished person. Live a full life. Who cares if some nobody smiled at you or not. Smile at yourself from the inside out, be good to yourself because you are worth it, and feel your own inner strength and power. Your power is already within you, don't hang around waiting for approval from the outer world.

A smile could just be a way of being polite and friendly, a look with a neutral expression could mean she's interested in you.

I wouldn't worry about getting smiles or looks, it doesn't mean a whole lot.

I would worry about smiling too much at strangers. That seems a little weird. If I do smile at a girl who's looking at me, it will be barely noticeable, more of a smirk with my eyes, while my mouth hardly moves, no cheesy grin.

You must look cranky of you can not even get a smile in the "land of smiles".

I got a head like a dropped pie, but at least everyone smiles at me all the time.

Try putting a smile on your dial and watch the world change outlook on you!

Are you smiling at them?

Unless you are 8+ or evidently rich or fit (i.e. externally looking high value) then they won't willy nilly smile at you.

Club girls rarely smile unless you're a high status DJ or promoter of the club.

They think the bitch cunt face makes them look cool and above everything and everyone. But many dudes are guilty for that aswell and act like they got some sort of a stick up in their bum.

You can stand out if you actually don't take yourself so seriously and be the relaxed guy who talks with strangers, is happy and is not afraid of laughing at your own expense.
