I feel like a black sheep in my city. Are my problems real or bullshit?
I've got a few questions for players,

City - I live in a city but it's small just over 100,000 with a good portion of those people being students. (I called it a small town before, because that's what everyone here calls this place but it's definitely a city, feels like a small town.)

Anyways, I'm having a really hard time attracting the girls I want here. I can only seem to get the fat/chubby girls. And I seem to attract very inexperienced girls.

I'm tired of it! Girls around here want the hockey type, I'm the complete opposite of that. I feel like a black sheep in some regards.

I hang out at hipster places, but the quality just isn't very good.

My question is.

Have you ever been somewhere and for some reason you just don't seem to be able to attract the local girls? They just don't like your vibe? Or is this just a limiting bullshit belief that I have and if my game was good I should be able to pull more than fat and chubby girls. It's starting to really fuck with my self-esteem.

I'm also kind of tired of the way girls dress here, they dress sloppy and generic. I don't think I've ever seen a girl wearing a nice dress or skirt when out. Usually, it's leggings and a low cut top.

I feel like a black sheep.

Has anyone else felt like that? Or currently feels that way?

I'm getting to the point of relocating but I don't want my problems to follow me to the new location. So I want others opinions, perhaps it's just me and I can fix them.

Also - European girls, probably my favourite kind of girl are few and far between here. What you get here is Canadian Blondes, good looking but I can't seem to ever pull them. The odd European girl that does come through, I usually connect well with unless they are British.

FYI about me. I dress well, skinny (150lbs 6 foot) and my face is probably a 6. Not a male model, but I don't think I am ugly.

As soon as you said Canadian - the answer was clear. It is not you, it is the brainwashed, hostile feminist culture and environment. Most other Canadian men feel almost exactly like you do.

What is your ethnicity?

Hit the gym, put on 20lbs of muscle and come back to this topic.

Didn't know others felt the same way...

White, but tanned dark hair. I agree with the putting on more muscle.

Be different than the others.
Dont try to be an hockey jock, an hipster, a hip hop wannabe gangster, a biker, a hipster..etc. Be a classy man, an Humphrey Bogart, Clark Gable, Jimmy Stewart, Alain Delon...a manly classy guy.

Muscle and a good wardrobe never fail.

150 lbs for 6 foot is skinny as shit. Yes move, but start lifting and take up a martial art or something. That will help give you the composure you need, and also provide some male bonding opportunities since in another thread you mentioned lacking many friends.

I don't think the problem is you. You seem to be looking for a more sophisticated scene/girl than tends to be available in your average Canadian city of ~100,000 people.

From what you say it sounds like your town is some distance away from Canada's bigger cities (Vancouver, Toronto, Montreal). You might want to take a trip to check those cities out if you haven't already, and if you find one that you feel fits you better maybe explore moving there.

Save your pennies and take a cheap trip to a latin country. The sooner the better. Forget about thriving where you are. It is more about survival.

RE: I feel like a black sheep in my city. Are my problems real or bullshit?
I live in a mid-size hockey/college town on the other side of the border, so I can sympathize. It's a low-ambition environment filled with unhappy people, and there's a big divide between them and the students.

Ultimately, most of the girls are trashcans. Not unattractive, just messes. Polish your act and lift, but don't come down to their level or expect them to come up to your level. There are plenty of single moms who smoke too much weed who are eager to be around someone who isn't sporting a gut and doesn't have a felony. I get a lot of busty bartenders and hairdressers I wasn't even gaming stop midstream and comment on how happy they are to have someone "normal" to talk to. Remember that you have a busy life outside of local BS and shouldn't make yourself too available. Listen to them non-judgmentally so they'll talk freely and you know when to ghost them if their life gets too messed up.

With that said, I always had a lot of luck with graduate students, who are a little more settled in the area and don't want to hang out with undergrads, but are usually disgusted by the local scene, as well. Try that social circle, take a night class or something. Don't try to be a hipster, just stand above the local crowd. This is a case where being an outsider can help you, because the students have often walled themselves off from the townies.

Getting out is definitely your best bet in the mid-term, whether that's regular travel or relocating. Keep using this time to learn some lessons. Some of HankMoody's threads might be useful to you, too, as he's in Philly and there can definitely be some of the same issues with local working-class girls.

Hidey-ho, RVFerinos!

Dude that's life.

I think I'm better looking than what you described, but the reality is, most girls are ugly and that's the low hanging fruit.

Most guys get about (x-2)/10, unless their game is unreal or they're loaded/famous.

Bump yourself up to an 8, and 6-7s should come easier, 8-9s will take fucking work, and 10s don't exist.

Most guys with massive notch counts didn't do it with 9s and 10s.

Go to the gym, accept most lays will be iffy, and move on with your life. A well dressed guy who weighs 150 sounds pretty soy, so you can start there

You MUST move to a big city. I'm not too familiar with Canada but find the best major city in terms of a game/work opportunity balance and relocate there.

There is no future in any bumfuck town in North America.

Paul Janka was famous for encouraging his clients to move to NYC if possible, as the opportunities in a huge metropolis are endless.
