A filthy apartment or house is a huge turn off. I’ve dated at least two women who filled their place with so much clutter and shit that it was almost unlivable. One was a shopaholic who had costume jewelry and clothes strewn everywhere to the point where she was forced to sell much of it on consignment (then why buy all that shit to begin with if you then have to sell it?). The other was a 40-something year-old woman who lived like a college kid, complete with a cadre of younger friends and a low rent apartment filled with cast-off furniture like you might find in a dumpster or on craigslist for $10, and piles of clothes and shoes in the middle of the floor. She had a cat and never cleaned the litter box, and a kitchen that was so filthy that we couldn’t eat at her place (we would cook meals at my apartment).

I live alone and admit sometimes it’s difficult keeping up with the cleaning, but Jesus effing Christ I don’t know how people could live like that. How do you cook your food in a microwave that’s covered with a crust of decaying food? How do you walk through the apartment in the dark without falling and breaking your neck?

Honestly I was surprised to see single women living this way (you would more often associate such a situation with a young male living alone for the first time) but I’m sure there’s some sort of psychology behind living like that, some deficiency or underlying pathology, but I can’t figure it out. And these women were dating guys and inviting them over to their place!

Don't go to Russia then! Even countryside (not old) Russian women picking up berries under Siberian bears' lustful gaze, have painted nails. Often fake, long and brightly colored nails.
