Boring money things time... Salary tax on self employed wage?
I'll try keep it short and sweet. I'm self employed and make slap bang in the middle of the first tax band. What tax should I be paying? I was looking at this calculator (see here: salary-calculator.org.uk ) but I was told by someone the rules are different for self-employed wages. Anyone else have any idea what I will pay? Do I have to go talk to (see: pay them to tell me 2 words) someone who actually knows what they're on about?

Hope I haven't put anyone to sleep lol.
cheers!

Yes, best to use an accountant. Receiving a salary from a business is different to being self-employed (freelance).
Find a good one and they will also help you structure things correctly for the future - incorporating is good for liability shielding among other things.
