Mark Wahlberg and his daily routine!
This could equally go in the '60 is the new 40' thread in terms of people defying age.

I read this yesterday and had a few thoughts about it. The story even made the po-faced Newsnight programme on BBC2 last night!

Here's the story;

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/ar...kouts.html

Here's the schedule;

[Image: 500CC7A400000578-6157085-Do_repeat_do_ag...577411.jpg]

Here's the pic;

[Image: 500CE00B00000578-6157085-image-a-89_1536702525140.jpg]

Firstly, I'm not a hater; I think he's done very well and deserves his success. He's quite funny in his movies and has the 'every-man' character nailed on.

Physically, I think he looks great for his age (obviously). He sometimes looks fat in clothes but that's just his height and build more than anything.

But regarding his 'daily routine', if you ignore all the fluff and just isolate the training aspects, he basically trains twice a day and that's it. So that's basically what a lot of us reading this forum do; a morning run, then lift weights after work.

His wealth gives him the best diet, supplements and (ahem!) 'other stuff' that money can buy. He looks good, but I can't help feeling that there are lots of non-millionaire fitness types out there who look just as good, if not better and who don't go to bed at 7.30 in the evening or have to sleep in cryo-chambers!

Anyway, good for him as he keeps the fitness flag flying and is obviously enjoying life. Also, his wife is hot and younger than him (and much taller) and he's knocked out 4 children with her! Rare in hollyweird circles.

RE: Mark Wahlberg and his daily routine!
If you moved it all back 4 hours it wouldn't look weird - wake up 6.30am and go to sleep at 11.30 - pretty standard.

I think its not true though: who prays for 30 mins? Who plays golf for 30 mins? Who takes 30 mins to eat a snack? Who takes 90 mins for a shower?

Yeah, my first reaction was that he was just taking the piss and having some fun with the fans and the media. But people who know him have since come out to confirm that this is, indeed how he lives his life.

Where are you seeing 90 minutes for a shower??
It shows only 30 minutes which is quite long but i imagine that its everything including shaving/personal grooming.

RE: Mark Wahlberg and his daily routine!
All of these celeb "daily routines" are massaged to make them impressive for the public. This one is no exception.

A 90 minute shower? 30 minutes for golf? Its gotta take the guts of 30minutes getting to and from a golf course, nevermind actually playing.

This schedule also completely omits any actual, you know, work. I know hes an actor so hes not doing a 9-5, but he still surely spends a good chunk of the year filming.

This schedule is definitely exaggerated, there is no time for work.

I’ve always liked him. His quote shows me he’s smarter than the average bear.

Quote:“Look, I’ve never gone out and talked about politics. I’m an actor,” Wahlberg told Yahoo Finance at the Manhattan opening of Wahlburgers, his family’s burger chain. “Both Republicans and Democrats buy movie tickets.”

Bit early for my taste, but even if he sticks to it roughly, then it's fine.

He is 47 now and is still highly bangable to most women in the world - even without his fame.

He should find some time in his schedule for acting classes.

RE: Mark Wahlberg and his daily routine!
I always question these daily routine things that go around so often. I think that having a set way that you begin and end each day is far more valuable than having an entire day set out like this. Does your day truly never hold nothing new? Do you feel like shit when your day doesn't match this to a T?

I think that having flexibility in your day for new experiences is far more valuable, my $0.02.

I'm pretty sure this is temporary for a movie role? That's what the BBC were saying. He gets up really early so he can in his words spend 2 hours a day at least with his kids in the evening.

Golf must mean he hits balls with a simulator at his house.

That's a funky bunch of times right there... 2:30 wake up? Jacking off in the shower? Anyway, I've huge respect for him maintaining his physique for so long. A lot of body builders let themselves go over the years, he hasn't. I guess it's partly because he's an actor and needs to be in shape to get certain roles.

I think his schedule makes sense. He likely has a chef so he doesn't need to make his meals and snacks. As Sidney Crosby said, he has a simulator in his house, hits a few balls to practice his swing. I think I saw a article or maybe it was in Entourage where he actually installed a golf course in his house.

Yup, he has a golf course as a backyard.
https://www.golfdigest.com/story/mark-wa...-jealously

I'm sure his schedule isn't 100% set in stone and that 30 minute snack could be shorter than 30 minutes and the 90 minute shower includes extra time to be able to take his time doing things.

Guys on here reading it like he has no wiggle room.
