I read a good assessment of the situation online, posted by a random commentator. The gist of it was as follows:

The "Kavanaugh against abortion" thing will work on some women, convincing them to vote Democrat for the Midterms. However, the pipe bomb story will not. The reason is based on female nature - women don't care about strangers that suffer: i.e. remember the teenage girl that took selfies of herself, smiling in front of Auschwitz? That story highlighted the solipsistic nature of women.

In short, women are generally unable to muster empathy for individuals outside of their own circle. So the fact that some politicians are receiving pipe bombs (allegedly) will be unable to overturn their obsession with Instagram, Tinder, and the sweaty balls of Chad Thundercock.

A man was arrested in Florida on Friday morning in connection with the ongoing investigation of 12 suspected mail bombs sent to former president Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, and other leading critics of President Donald Trump.

The man, who is in his 50s, is expected to face federal criminal charges, according to NBC News. He is

NBC reported that the man, whose name was not made public, may have previously lived in New York state, and possibly in New York City.

MSNBC was showing images of signicant police activiy around an auto parts store in Plantation, Florida. Investigators were examining a white van plastered with Trump's name and the presidential seal, according to MSNBC. The network said authorities were looking at "right-wing paraphrenalia" found at the scene.

The Justice Department has scheduled a news conference in the case at 2:30 p.m., Eastern time.

Saw the van as viewed from a helicopter on NBC Today show about 30 minutes ago.
Every rearward window was covered in stickers/decals.

Reports are early. First Bernard Kerik (fmr NYPD commish) is proven correct on the time frame and that authorities ere watching him for a half a day (or more).

Second, the surprise news is that some devices were considered unstable and would thus have to be disposed of immediately.

Was told on the radio on way home from work that it was a 'white man'. When I get home, the TV is showing a native american?! Didn't see that coming. They seem to know a helluva lot already when it usually takes them months to release the details. I know more already about this one than I do about the Vegas shooter!

Seeing as this guy was a 9/11 truther with a repeat offender criminal history whose mom tried to take out a restraining order against him, rolling in a van covered in carefully-organized political stickers, it's possible that he might not be completely stable.
