Currently , there are over 10 million men, who are affected by a range of disorders caused by Depression... yet , very few would want to talk about it.

When one has been diagnosed as such ,life can appear to be a roller-coaster ride. For men ,it is even harder to deal with because of societal pressure, but, the condition does exist in men, and is not easily solved.

It is important to note that it is very easy for a whore to send you reeling into the abyss if you are not careful , and one should have all the tools available when you decide to embark on hedonistic practices,for the reward of some pussy.

1. Start small...... Try not to get caught up in stories that you know are beyond your reach. Overreaching will drain you of your emotional resources. Take care to separate reality, from fantasy. Whores will make you fantasize , but you have to guard against that,since you know what happens when reality hits.

2. One day at a time...... Did you get a smile from a whore today? Great. That is an accomplishment. Small things are very important.

3. Constant couch surfing..... believe it or not, this activity will not help as much , as opposed to real life situations. Venture out a little bit , even if you are not ready to take the big plunge. The key is knowing your limitations, and placing yourself in arenas you are comfortable in.

4. We're not perfect......This is self -imposed stress in the pursuit of perfection. Challenge yourself to accept that whores will not always respond to you. The pros get turned down all the time, sometimes (5) five times a day.

5. Over generalization.... Never define the pursuit of whores, as black and white, there is a middle ground.

6. Jumping to conclusions..... So you didn't get a number today, so does that mean you're ugly? Quite the contrary. You just didn't get it. Plenty more to get. Don't analyze it five ways from Sunday. It takes too long to get out of the cycle once you head down that road.

7. Emotional reasoning..... Are you really a loser , or did you convince yourself that you are a loser? Just because you have a problem with acne, or weight, does not equate to the word loser. You can alter your physical appearance over time by tons of external means, but matters of how you perceive yourself, is totally internal. Use deductive reasoning to counter your emotional triggers.

8. Dealing with rejection...... If you suffer from certain forms of depression, one should take great care as to not overreach and put yourself in a situation that would trigger your neurons to fire off scrambled signals. Rejection affects the brain the same way pain does. This is your biggest challenge. I repeat, do not overreach. Make sure you understand what is available, and that it is goal you can attain.

* Overanalyzing whores.... If your purpose is to get some pussy by any means necessary, one must conclude that each whore is different, each circumstance is different, and that it is up to you to override your neurons when you feel as though one whore defines how wrong or right you played the game.

They are probably more ideas that can be shared on here, but remember, combine them with your medicine, and your therapy, and get some pussy.

Depression is often linked to gut problems as well. A lot of neurotransmitters are made in the bowels and transfer to the brain. So repair these deficiencies and you often get an improvement in symptoms. Exercise helps with me a lot.

Clinical depression is easy to ignore when times are good, but it seems like an impossibility to do normal things sometimes when times are bad.

Therapy and counseling are great tools for depression and helps keep things in perspective.

Another thing is remaining active and going through the motions until you start to feel better.

Haha. This sounds funny but I believe this is true. I have a few freinds who have gone through depression. They were not getting laid. When their depression started, I told them to get up off the couch, put on some sharp clothes and go find some p#ssy. They said I was crazy. They stayed home and popped their bullshit pills. They only got more depressed.

I know if a man is not getting laid, its only a matter of time before depression sets in.

I would be depressed too. If I wasn't getting any.

But I won't let that happen because I work on my game weaknesses and talk to girls all day.

Though humorous ( I laughed), this is wholly incorrect. Depression in men is not caused by a lack of pussy. I think we can separate not getting pussy ,from the actual condition.

Clinical Depression often happens before you go through puberty if you really have it. And when your suffering a bout of it your not going to be getting any pussy. From personal experience I have been on various meds since I was like 6 for it, and they haven't helped much. And I can guarantee that I wasn't interested in vag at that age. The meds will often make it worse since they tend to make you gain weight and more sedative. Most psychotherapy is a joke too. Although cognitive therapy sounds promising.

It also might be caused by a systemic fungal overgrowth called Candida Alibicans. Very nasy bugger that gets worse on rainy days, can be sexually transmitted, and you have to eat very low carb to keep it at bay. Being on the birth control for women will often cause the overgrowth too, so it could change their personality a bit.

You are describing one form of depression, and not all forms of depression are related to puberty, or systemic dysfunctions. There is no smoking gun .

Yes but they most likely all have some relation to a gut dysfunction. The problem with a lot of treatments is they just treat one symptom of the problem. Sometimes its also sugar related as well. But I think depression itself is more of a symptom rather than a disease which is due to several interlocking malfunctions.

I deal with it in a lab every 5 days a week. Pretty inconclusive that gut dysfunction (for lack of a better term) is the trigger for depression. What we do see is your neurons transmitting information in abnormal patterns.

Mind if I weigh in?
I used to be depressed pretty bad but now I'm all right.

Two things fixed me up:
1) Lost my virginity
2) Started smoking

Exercise and socialising are meant to be very effective also. I think depression is natures way of telling you that something in your life is not right. When you fix it, you will be fine.

Depression is one of those things that I think is being over-played (like ADD) which causes me to just call bullshit on anyway popping pills. I feel it's a cop out.

Then I take a step back and, yes, people do have serious cases of depression. Shoving your face with ice cream because you got dumped and your brain lacking the ability to properly produce serotonin (or however that shit works) are different cases.

I also think that depression is a western disease, which leads me to believe it can probably be handled by a diet switch and some deep breathing (stress reduction). Gonna look more into this.

Also, severe lack of vitamin D/THE FUCKING SUN is probably at cause too. Go outside.

I submitted a package that included my work, what I've done, my schooling,, and then took some of what they already had marketed and put my own spin on it. The music was easy, if you understand theory.

I've gone through occasional dark periods, but lack of pussy was never the cause. However, during those periods I withdrew from wanting to deal with females at all, because dealing with their bullshit would make anything worse...HA HA! At the same time, I think regardless of what has you in a funk, getting some pussy will make you feel better, if just momentarily. You need to identify and address the root of your depression.

As someone who went through YEARS of textbook depression and took zero pills, had zero therapy, had zero help, and simply realized you have to just stop being a bitch at some point, I dont consider this an "illness" with a "cure"

If you dont like yourself enough for it to make you depressed, change yourself, your situation, or whatever it is you can, and you can change something. If you aren't willing to do that to make yourself happy, kill yourself because you're breathing up the good air.

Depression puts everything about your life in perspective. After your bout, you really appreciate the great moments that you experience, and you can always fall on those whenever you're back in a funk. I always believed that if you fight it and succeed, you come out 10x stronger.

I'm not up to date with depression treatments, but I've always wondered if binaural beats could treat some facets of depression. I will listen to them occasionally when I can't sleep, adn to a greater extent speculate that it's possible to entrain your brain to a specific frequency and change your mood. Do you know anything about that, pusscrook?

You were eventually proactive in improving your life. I think that's awesome and commend you on that. However, therapy and counseling could have expedited the process and shaved off a couple years off the time you spent depressed. But what you had may not have been clinical depression, just a slump. I'm assuming from your post that you never sought out professional help. Please correct me if I've misunderstood.

It's true that depression has no cure. There is treatment (meds, therapy, and counseling). Just like a nerd who has social anxiety can never be cured. There is no magic pill or pep talk that will instantly fix him or force him on the right path. If he stops working on himself, stops going out, and stops growing, it's easy to revert back to a chode-like state.

If one has medical insurance that covers it, why not? I respect someone who reaches out for help.

Some people need chemical help with depression when it is serious and people can't see the light at the end of the tunnel.
A clinical psychologist.

Some things like a death of someone close or tragedy,something you can't change is very difficult to treat other than chemical intervention and the passing of time.

If you're feeling in a mild slump,look at your situation and analyze what things might be bringing you down.
Write them down and possible solutions and actions to resolve them.
Then ,it's a self help cliche but,TAKE ACTION.

Also, being physically active will boost your "feel good" chemicals.
So going running 3-4 times a week can really help keep up your mood and clear your head.

There is reciprocal determinism between your environment, your genetic neurochemical makeup, and your thoughts/actions.
My depression temporarily lifts even if I get blown out hardcore by a bitchy girl. If my depression lifts enough, I can game more
and that will help the depression. But that doesn't mean my genetic predisposition to depression isn't real. There is significant comorbidity with
ADD-- more people with ADD will have depression than others.

The idea that a certain type of thought or thinking will definitely change your neurochemical makeup is true only partially and indirectly.
If you game well enough, and start having hot chicks around all the time, that may very well start to actually change the structure of your neurons, there are new connections grown extending outward-- we are talking mechanical, physical change here--perhaps non-useful old ones die out...the idea of total separation of the physical and mental is obsolete.

Glad "not being a bitch" worked for you, but to generalize this to all is, frankly, the opinion of a totally uneducated amateur. Depression remits spontaneously most of the time, but not completely, and the relapse rate is about 80%. Certain symptoms, like cognitive slowing, are harder to
get rid of than more marked symptoms like despair.

Although there is benefit to acting to improve your situation, as Chad said; as Pusscrook stated, if you are in a position to see the factual reality under a microscope; or simply have seen hundreds of patients like I have, you understand that just because someone can't see the chemical imbalances associated with depression, doesn't mean they're not there.

To help you see the error of your limited thinking, how about schizophrenia? Is to "stop being a fool" all they have to do to solve their problems? I mean, there's nothing physically wrong with them, right?

In the middle ages, they thought the mentally ill were possessed by demons. Nowadays, they uneducated think they are possessed with "being a bitch".

Mood disorders are real, as in physically. I do think lack of pussy (and all the social approval and affection that goes with it) makes mine worse, that's why I'm here.

Since I don't work in a prison any more, I've been able to switch from pharma anti-depressants to St. John's Wort, used since the time of ancient Greece. About $0.25 per day instead of $5.00 per day with pharma, which was stronger but also felt weirder.

I understand that there is such a thing as clinical depression, where the chemicals in your brain are not right, I'm not trying to say that that does not exist, but I honestly believe its nowhere near as prevalent as its made out to be.

I just do not believe that at the height of human civilization that 10% of the American population has a defect in their genes that causes their brain chemistry to be askew and make them depressed.

Depression has been treated like the "obesity epidemic" where its plastered up everywhere and shoved down our throats. Commercial after commercial, advertisement after advertisement presents us with incredibly vague symptoms of the affliction they call "depression" and now anyone who's tired and having a bad day thinks they're depressed and need medication.

Its become a scapegoat for people who's lives suck because they suck, and who are yes, being a bitch. If someone's take a 'scrip for depression they get social carte blanche because of it. We all have to walk on eggshells because "he's depressed" when in fact he's sad because he works a shit job, has a shit body, and has shit to show for that because he's unmotivated, and he's probably unmotivated because he's being dosed up every day on pills he doesn't need. God forbid you actually tell him to get his act together because you'll hurt his, now entitled, fragile sensibilities.

The very fact that depression medication commercials run on prime-time TV for people to see and self diagnose, to me, is criminal, because as you said you can't see depression, its internal. People learn the script of what to say to come off as being depressed from the commercials and go to a doctor and start paying for pills. Its fucking business, plain and simple and I'm sure the depression industry has a lot of money to show for its successful ad campaign

Please do not misunderstand me though. I have met people who are genuinely clinically depressed, who do have an imbalance in their brain, and who do need help, and for those people yes, please get help, do what is necessary.

So let me apologize, I shouldn't have put that in such absolute terms as to claim that what I said applies to everyone.
