N00b here.

Just read Roissy's entry on the worst places for pick-ups in DC. I was wondering what the forum consensus was on the best areas in DC for pick-up. I can only go out on Fridays and Saturdays due to my work schedule.

You can even name a couple of specific places. At the risk, of course, of divulging your secret prime locations which is why I only specified general areas and not specific locations

It depends on what your goals are - one night stand? girlfriend? find a new wingwoman? As far as one night stands go, it's kind of a toss up on a weekend - there are so many other guys out, along with girls in big groups that try to cockblock. I much prefer to go out during the week.

That being said, if I'm going out on a weekend for a good time you can't help but lean towards Adam's Morgan - just be confident for a few and give her the old "let's go", you'd be surprised how often it works on an underage college girl.

I've often wondered how much race plays into pick-up.

I'm black, and with non-black women it cuts both ways, at first sight, it can be fetish/lust or fear/disgust.

Oddly there's a huge market for Asian PUA's teaching Asian Cats to talk to White Girls.

G'Town is frat/yacht boy central. Nantucket Reds, sperry topsiders, Brooks Brothers/J.Press Oxfords khakis.

# wise @ 3rd edition, there were a lot of white girls, but the hottest chicks there were of Middle East Extraction. Modern, last time I went, was Asian chick central. Haven't messed with Rhinos or any of the bars.

Interesting because VK is black and he's a big fan of third edition. It does make sense that some bars/clubs will suit a man's appearance/vibe more than others. Nothing in g'town suits mine.

i hate third edition and gtown in general. its hard pickings as i am sorta in the same boat as roosh.
my best spots are U street and dupont area.

There's no debate that there are things people are into and things that they aren't. Some women won't cross the race line because that's not what they're into. Even still there are some that thought they never would but ended up crossing the picket line.

I'm not white and generally prefer white women. I'm a mixed mutt with naturally tan skin so sometimes I feel like it works in my favour. I would have to say 99% of the women I've been with were white and there were three in particular that have said to me you've changed what I like in a man. Two of them never thought they would be with a guy that wasn't white. Those are just the ones I know about and there's a chance that many others I've been with felt the same way. One girl in particular was heavily into skinny, pale white, goth dudes and after dating me said that she doesn't even find them attractive anymore and totally changed what she wants in a man.

In any event, I never let it stop me and it's worked out pretty well. I think for some women stereotypes is what inhibits them from trying more exotic varieties. But if you play the game right and dispell certain stereotypes you'll find that they're a lot more receptive.

BTW, I can't stand 3rd Edition.
