Because of his prior teachings which was the opposite of his current behavior. So that says either one of two things:

1. He didn't really believe what he was teaching to men.
2. He did believe it, but after falling in love he threw his beliefs under the bus.

For either case, it's disappointing for a former follower of his, who obviously thought that he walked the walk.

Imagine if I suddenly shut down my blog and then opened a new site where my new girlfriend and I shared cooking recipes or homemaker ideas. Wouldn't you question my previous writings and how truthful they were?

It's ironic that Michael Buble is involved. He married a really hot Argentine chick even though he's a huge beta at heart. Fame and money is great stuff. No hate either. We all do what we can to get the best deal in life.

Who'd have thought David D would ever be blessing rocks and talking of magnetic vortexes. He really has softened up dramatically. He seems almost new-agey. He's moved on and evolved I suppose, and I guess that's cool. Though his wife comes off as annoying if you ask me. Not to mention I don't find her attractive at all. Could just be my bias against Indian women.

It does seem as though they have found a genuine love and I wish them well. I just hope she isn't dragging him through the coals in a couple years in divorce court.

One other thing, it's been said by others that he was never really that good with women himself even though he was a guru. I think that he was a very smart business man and that he learned a lot of material about psycho-evolution and that he took this information and congealed it into an easy to understand program for mass consumption. I met this girl 3 years ago on a Buenos Aires to Miami flight. People were asking her autograph so I asked her who she was and she said she worked in television. We talked for a while and I even got lucky when we both went to the bathroom at the same time and talked while waiting. She is hot as hell and then some.

David DeAngelo claimed that he was really bad with women and took all his material from guys he observed in the field.

This points out a couple of things. He's a beta who made some late-life cosmetic adjustments. What that tells me is that he can probably hold a hot chick's attention a bit longer than he previously could, and on a good lucky day, he might get laid. In the field, DeAngelo strikes me as the "funny guy." He'll probably engage the ladies better than a good-looking guy with zero personality, but would only be useful for a night of entertaining laughs.

I just don't see how a guy who can bang 7+'s with good consistency would settle for Annie. And joehoya, while I agree that they're on par looks-wise, he clearly sees her as his superior...

But honestly, I don't why David D. is being crucified. There are a lot of guys here who talk about game, but then strongly hint that they would prefer marriage/LTR's/beta-loving chicks/blah-blah and blah.

I watched some of his videos and found the same. He goes on for hours without really saying much. A lot of it is very conceptual without practical application.

I'm sure there are some good things in there, and the essence of cocky/funny makes sense, but there's way better material around these days.

The DD material I've seen is all derivative and presented in a meandering, unstructured way. His real genius lies in marketing and promotion. You can't fault him as a businessman.

I'd be pissed off if I'd paid money for it, though. I've gotten more out of this forum and the Bang books than I would have gotten from thousands of dollars worth of DD materials.

He used to teach men about dating without having dated much himself. Now he plans to teach men about relationships while he's in an unusual relationship himself.

What is he going to be teaching men about relationships? Probably always to apologise, to prostrate yourself to your wife on the pedestal, to let your wife keep your balls in her purse for safekeeping.

He will be doing men a disservice teaching them about things he has limited personal experience with.

PS. I'm not hating on him. This kind of relationship may work for him. But there's nothing useful to be learned from it for the majority of men. At best it's an outlier case, at worst it's delusional.

According to an extensive footnote in "The Education of Millionaires," written by a friend of Eben Pagan's, he was never trying to be a PUA guru. His real goal was getting desperate men into a marketing funnel that sells products on building deep relationships and learning to establish more emotional connections with women.

Ellsberg points out that Eben Pagan operates on the marketing belief that you should sell people what they want but give them what they need - in essence that you are responsible for their personal growth and evolutions (Pagan does indeed teach this). Not to mention that growing up he played in a Christian rock band, another form of evangelism that sells an image but delivers a message mean to "save."

If Ellsberg's assertations are true, I think it's safe to say that he never wanted to be a part of the PUA movement.

Instead, he was aiming to "save" guys like the ones on this forum by reeling them in with the PUA stuff, empowering them with basic pickup skills, and then moving them into inner game and relationship products that made them what Pagan sees as more of a "whole man." Most of the people who bought the ebook and learned from his emails, etc, but never bought into the higher-priced products later down the funnel perhaps never saw that side of what he was really trying to accomplish.

I didn't watch the videos above yet (will later) but I can easily imagine how cheesy they are based on Pagan's personality alone. I respect him as a marketer and enjoy a lot of his teachings on human potential, but I've always found him to be a bit of a dork, to be completely honest.

Ok why is no one stopping to consider that maybe David D chose this chick because marrying a traditional Indian girl is equivalent marrying a hardcore conservative Christian chick who absolutely refuses to get an abortion or divorce (kind of like most of our grandmas in the good old days)?

Indian women are very traditional in their upbringing and few if any ever get divorced. When marriage problems happen, both sides of the family (if both are Indian) intervene to try to fix things. I should probably be saying Muslim not Indian but Im generalizing here. Happens a lot in my (muslim) family, the only divorce that has happened in my family from my dads side was when 2 people got married against their parents wishes because their parents didnt think they were a good match. Several close calls with other relatives (there was a 10+ yr age difference) but the family intervened and ultimately saved the marriage(s). And your talking dozens and dozens of successful marriages.

Maybe I am way off and this woman doesnt come from a traditional Indian family but I can understand Davids choice to get married if she does. Its about the most secure marriage one can get these days. Ive always jokingly said, if I hit late 40s and am still single and want to settle down Ill have my aunt find a wife for me lol wouldnt have to worry about divorce. I just happen to prefer white girls and a bachelor lifestyle and I am too smart Narcissistic to want to tie myself down.
