They call alcohol "liquid courage" as it makes your approach fearless. But if the girl is completely sober while you are shitfaced, it becomes a tough sell. Try calibration of drunk game towards equally drunk chicks. Unleash your inner Dean Martin by pregaming, first but limiting yourself to one solid drink at the venue to avoid overspending.

You have to be present and conscious to game successfully. Does alcohol make you a better driver? Does it make you better at sports? So, why would you think it would make you better at game?

I am hoping a little bit of alcohol will help to reduce the approach anxiety. I am starting with 2 or 3 beers for a night and then reduce it gradually as I get more confidence.

I think one has to figure out for himself what is the right amount of alcohol to keep the buzz going but not outwardly appearing drunk if the plan is to approach.

Some people have severe clinical anxiety that can't be overcome by practicing day game-like sober approaching, which only makes the anxiety worse. This is where alcohol becomes useful in gaming girls but you have to know what you're doing and have an exact knowledge of your tolerance. I drink 8-10 shots of vodka within the space of an hour before going out and only have another couple of drinks while out, which keeps my buzz on point all night and sobers me up just before home time at 4 or 5am. I know this formula works so I stick with it and it produces results.

Alcohol isn't exactly healthy but it's better than ending up with your cock in your hand every night. Unless you're going way overboard and slurring your speech, not thinking straight etc, it should only enhance your game.

Drinking too much can fuck with my game too. When I was younger I would drink to have fun. I never used to get hungover. Now in my late 20's I drink a lot, and it's usually just to unwind.

When you drink frequently, it can mess up your game because you get a smaller "window" of feeling buzzed without getting too fucked up. That window gets smaller and smaller the more you habitually drink. At this point I'm either not drunk enough or too drunk. It really doesn't help me much at all when it comes to game at this point. I think I should cut back...

I am guessing that the amount that one should drink also depends on the level of drunkenness of the girls at your city exhibit. It might be ok to get a bit more tipsy if the girls have a tendency to drink more but where I live I don't see a lot of girls stumbling around. The college chicks get fairly drunk but they are in their big herds of cock blockers and the girls past college seem to only be there to have a drink or 2 and chat with their mates. So they might not take a guy seriously if he shows a hint of being drunk.

I am calibrating my drinking now after months of going solo with no results. A couple of beers before going out and a pint at the venue seems to be the minimum for me to keep the slight buzz going for a couple of hours at least. Anyone has any suggestions for 1 good, strong drink at the venue that does not hit you hard and fast but lasts longer?

How about pre-gaming with hard-liquor and once you hit a cool buzz stick to a beer every half hour to keep your buzz going.

I've tried going out/clubbing sober and it's horrible. This is exactly how i feel.

I'm not making excuses but it can be genuinely difficult for a lot of guys to "just have confidence" I consider myself pretty confident, but it comes and goes, it's not constant. Do you have any advice on just being confident?

I went out sober for the past entire year. It's all practice really. Nothing compares to Approaching a stunning Girl, when you are straight edge and your mind is working. Booze numbs your game, it's nothing new. I feel sad for every fellow, who relies on "state out of the bottle".

Remember that you have nothing to lose by approaching. Approach anxiety does not come from fear of failure, but fear of success.

Take an acting class. Join a Toastmasters club. Approach girls every where. Approach girls who don't interest you.

Going out clubbing sober... It's the worst. I'm standing there like a rock and thinking what the hell am I doing here.

As for me, when I roll solo, I NEED to drink/be on the edge of a drunken state. That way I don't give a fuck. I feel there is just no other way to get over that approach anxiety in a club without having social proof around you. I'd feel highly uncomfortable.

So in my opinion it's easier to cut drinking (or at least reduce) when rolling with some guys. If you get rejected you still have your group to fall back to and you don't look like a desperate lonely loser in the club.

Haezer, I do both verbal and dance floor game but it usually starts on the dance floor. Once I have that liquor confidence and am genuinely enjoying myself on the floor the amount of IOI's I get is scary. If only I was aggressive or cared enough to act on most of them.

How often does it work? I would back myself to pull 7/10 nights if I actually try and am willing to settle for 6's and 7's. The other 3/10 is time wasted on a girl who isn't DTF but I'll always get numbers out of this anyway. A lot of the time I'm also to busy enjoying the music then all of a sudden it's 3am, the club is half empty and I haven't responded to a single IOI all night. I'm a bit odd in the way that I would probably reject the opportunity to go home with a girl at 11pm because being out until early morning enjoying myself is a priority rather than fucking and sleeping.

By the way, I really don't think 8-10 shots of vodka a night for a decent sized guy (5'11, 86 kg) is that much, but maybe I've just been brainwashed by the Aussie binge drinking culture.

I pre-gamed the other night before I met up, probably had 2 drinks, then had another 3-4 over the course of 2-3 hours with the girl, bounced venues, had an 8% brew ... eventually got back to her place, and ... nothing worked to get the lil' man up.

Is there an over/under on number of drinks to deaden the bad boy? Was it somewhat age-related or girl related? I still don't know ...

I was thinking maybe I needed to drink at least a glass of water ever hour or two.

I cant drink beer anymore how I used to because I start pissing like a race horse every 5 minutes it's retarded! So just shots and long islands for me, that keeps me in line.
