All right I think I'll be more careful - my wife is pregnant now. She's 31 and was on birth control for a while. She decided to stop taking the pill so we would have kids, and when she got pregnant, the doctor calculated that she got pregnant 1 week after stopping BC. Once I get my 2nd or 3rd child, in a few years, I'll get a vasectomy and rawdog the world to my heart's content.

Vasectomy can actually be reversed in most cases - while not 100% guaranteed, it works in most cases - but I'll have my sperm frozen before doing that.

There are plenty of men who never want to be fathers, and there are far more men who are already fathers but don't want more children. Nothing wrong with that.

When I was married, I refused to get a vasectomy.

When I became single and banging 30 women a month, I was begging them to cut my nuts as fast as possible.

There was a time in 2012 after leaving Brasil when I had five different girls missing their period. Talk about not being able to sleep at night.

I think men see things differently depending on what side of the fence they are on. If you're banging one girl who has an IUD or is on birth control, things may be a little more lax. But I know guys that party with me, who are constantly fucking 10-20 new tails a month and are constantly stressing out waiting and hoping and regretting their life is about to fall apart.

Overall, the vasectomy was the best decision and investment I ever made and vas deferens reversals are at 94% now. But if you are good with condoms, you'll be okay without it.

I don't know, to be honest. I've never met anyone with higher test levels than I have. But I've been doing testosterone for the past 15 years and do a much higher dosage than I should be doing. I imagine the distribution of young guys pre 40s with vasectomies is quite small.

It would be impossible for me to say whether that was a factor. There have been some (provably) unrelated health issues in the last few years both prior and post procedure.

I don't know man...this topic interested me many years back when I was in an LTR with a girl who I almost considered marrying, but wisely did not. At the time I read a lot of testimonials from women on female only internet forums who had their tubes tied and ALL of them had worrying health issues afterwards. Leonard, if I were you I would read up on the side effects and signs to watch out for.

I am 100% conviced that both male and female reproductive ability and fertility is closely linked to overall health, and these procedures may be much more dangerous than we realise.

There's something very satisfying to the brain-stem about going through the full ritual of sex that normally results in pregnancy but with the comfort of knowing it won't happen. Sex carries with it a gravitas to it that never completely goes away no matter how much you train yourself to do it "casually". The feeling of being accepted or territory-marking aspect of getting it inside or glazing her down like a donut is wrapped up a lot in the thought that what's coming out of me is full of little living sea monkeys. It's the one super-power that is exclusive to the male. Despite the peace of mind of avoiding pregnancy, knowing they wouldn't be there anymore would be kind of a downer. That's why I've been fortunate enough to have had three partners so far that couldn't get pregnant. Of course, they were all over 40, but life is full of tradeoffs.

I used to work in a group home where they are looking after.
In some cases these poor souls are essentially abandoned by their families and even in worse cases some of the staff mistreats them.

This is pretty much the reason why I did NOT get snipped. I was all set and ready to get fixed last month (I made the appointment last summer) but the more and more I researched it I found no conclusive studies where they confirmed your T levels did not drop.

So to answer your question: Maybe. You'll hear both sides make strong arguments. Guys who have had it done claim they don't feel different but then you'll find guys who say their levels have dropped (whether it's from age or getting snipped who can say).

In the end, I just felt there wasn't enough evidence that could say with 100% certainty your T levels did not drop from the procedure.
