Where is the anger?
Where is the righteous fury?
Why are the republicans letting the terrorist media off the hook after their propaganda campaign has directly lead to an assassination attempt on one of their own?
Everyone to the right of Lenin needs to understand that leftists hate you and want you dead. The left deserves no cooperation, no compromise, no mercy.
What more could it possibly take to uncuck the GOP than an attempt on the life of one of their brothers?
How could you miss the outrage? 40K comments at Breitbart, all time high. Most righties advocating for a crackdown on the left. Everyone knows the media is to blame. All across the "rightosphere" is the same.
Republican party is bigger than ever right now. Pulling in record donations.

RE: Republican Congressman shot during baseball practice in DC area
Apparently, this guy had a specific list of Republican politicians he wanted to kill.
It is worth noting that 2 of the 3 named are Trump style Republicans.
The politician that actually was shot was very pro-Trump too during the election, which hasn't been mentioned in this thread it seems.
Radicalized by the media!
Quote:The news that the shooter had a list of names suggests the shooting was not a random outburst, but instead appears to be a premeditated political assassination.
The list was written out on notepad paper and found in the shooter’s pocket, according to multiple sources with intimate knowledge of the situation, who spoke on condition of anonymity, citing the sensitivity of the investigation. The list of names included Alabama Rep. Mo Brooks, South Carolina Rep. Jeff Duncan and Arizona Rep. Trent Franks, TheDC has confirmed.

Looks like a rifle and once that was emptied, he switch to secondary, a hand gun.
My bet is an AR, a 9MM handgun.
Details about used weapons:
http://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/2017/06...m-handgun/
Plus, I am calling double bullshit on the "100 rounds fired" if he used an SKS and had to manually load with stripper clips. It can be done, but stripper clips aren't as easy to swap out as magazines and in the hands of that loser dwarf I'm not betting he was very good at the battle drill.
If it was an SKS-D which will take a 30-round AK mag, it's plausible.
Could be, but those are much less common. But now that I think about it, it could also have been he was using a (usually very unreliable and poorly manufactured) aftermarket 30-round magazine on a regular SKS. That would explain his being able to fire off over thirty rounds before reloading, albeit sporadically. Those were never standard on that rifle and amount to a feeble attempt to make an AK out of an SKS.
Knowing very little about guns or tactics, he probably planned to spray and pray like they do on TV and kill everyone easily. But his firing was sporadic, not because of careful aiming on his part but perhaps because of a jam or two with a shitty aftermarket magazine, The only time I've ever experienced a jam with an SKS was when using one of those plastic pieces of crap a couple of times at the range (the metal ones are no better - I chucked them both). Him being a doofus with little training or preparation on already inferior equipment probably turned out to be a lifesaver for would-be victims.
Regardless of what went down on his end, there was lot of confusion by the people being shot at in that video. I couldn't believe a couple of them still standing around in the open once it was obvious where the bullets were coming from - it shouldn't take too much training and situational awareness to GTFO and put some distance between you and the shooter. A moving target is a hell of a lot harder to shoot than a stationary one with no cover and concealment. One guy high tailed it out of there, but the one by the SUV was standing tall, wearing a nice red hat to make him even easier to see. Wow...
One other thing - I did a double take on a few posts above with Portland attacker Jeremy Christian's picture in the lineup in that tweet. I had no idea he was a Bernie supporter. The gaystream media did a pretty good job pulling the wool over my eyes on that one. Turns out he was an exceptionally nutty BernieBro too.
So, that's two BernieBros going on rampages so far - how long before SPLC categorizes them as a hate group-?

There is no such thing as free speech in America. All speech has limits. You cannot yell fire in a crowded theatre, when there is no fire at all, is the usual example given.
Only political speech has the highest level of freeness, hence why you can wear a shirt that says "fuck the draft", but threatening a president with violence is not legal at all. These standards were set by the Supreme Court decades ago. Inciting violence via speech is really not up for debate. There is a reason we have felonies like "Terroristic Threat". Not all speech is valuable speech. Thinking all speech is valuable puts you mentally on par with Libertarians and Anarchists.
The Secret Service and the FBI are not doing enough to protect Trump or the other politicians when they allow people to make these violent displays of aggression toward the president. It emboldens others to take it a step further and act it out.
Let's be real here. If anyone did even half the shit we have been seeing towards Obama there would be race riots and all kinds of stuff. They would have created a special task force or Obama himself would have suspended due process to stop the threats on his own life.
This stuff is getting way outta hand. The hysteria that Trump is a dictator and a bigot, while having plenty of supporters of all walks of life even gays, is beginning to reach a fever pitch so badly not one of these fanatics can even explain why his is a dictator or racist. They just want blood or for him to be gone at any cost. Even George Bush was not hated this much and he actually hurt our country. All the standard controls we have in place won't work if it goes too far and people start trying to snipe or bomb him or his wife and kids. Some of the reason why few people tried Bush W, is because he is legit psycho or gave off the vibe that he is no one to fuck with. Trump should take a page out his book. The tweet TLOZ pointed out was excellent. Privately he needs to be taking someone from the Secret Service up the wall and make sure his people are getting his new FBI appointee ready for confirmation.
Hollywood liberals are cowards. Let one do the perp walk in handcuffs for threatening the president and watch the other's violent rhetoric shrink overnight. Words and actions must have consequences otherwise there can be no civility to speak of.
Obviously, we all know you can't yell fire in a movie theater. And it may be entirely true that the SS and FBI aren't doing enoug to protect Trump and other polititians.
The point about Obama and race riots, absolutely. No doubt. There was that rodeo clown in Missouri who dressed up as Obama and he was denegrated, despite having dressed up as every other president previously. It was this huge embarrassing ordeal, and all he did was poke fun at the sitting president.
I disagree that no one messed with GW because of threat or because of his dimeanor. We're in very different times than 2000-2008. The iPhone and social media, and manipulation of these outlets exploded since then, and that has made all the difference. Politics have become sports teams since GW.
I agree he needs to crack down on security. Obviously go after real threats. Execute the law for sure.
We have a cultural problem here. Arresting people who hate you and who are doing non-entertaining, humorless displays of opposition will exacerbate the cultural problem and lead to more tumult politically. That should frighten the even most optomistic.
Actually, now that I write it out, political tumult, cultural chaos...perhaps you've convinced me. No joke, that doesn't sound all bad. I appreciate the discussion, I'm on board.
Fuck em. Be more liberal in protecting Trump and Co. They want a war, give it to them.
(I'm not being facetious. I literally changed my mind as I wrote this.)
It is interesting that noone seems to question the judgement that you can't yell fire in a crowded theatre. Oliver Wendell Holmes is revered, and it is rare that anyone seems to question whether it is justified. As you may know, in the case itself he was sentencing a couple of Yiddish speaking socialists to prison, who had printed (in Yiddish) material opposing Wilson's decision to join WW1.
According to Wikipedia, the "Fire in a crowded theater" comment was made on a case where issue was defendants mailing flyers specifically to men slated for the draft, urging them not to register. The standard was thus that the defendants (1) intended to cause the specific lawless result (2) the lawless result would happen immediately as a result of the speech and (3) the result was likely to happen.
Holmes was a dissenting opinion in the case of the Yiddish-speaking socialists, and stated that the court was not properly applying the imminent lawless action test. The Yiddish-speaking socialists did not demonstrate intent for a specific lawless action, nor was the lawless action likely to happen imminently as a consequence of their speech. Here's an excerpt from that opinion.
Quote:Persecution for the expression of opinions seems to me perfectly logical. If you have no doubt of your premises or your power and want a certain result with all your heart you naturally express your wishes in law and sweep away all opposition...But when men have realized that time has upset many fighting faiths, they may come to believe even more than they believe the very foundations of their own conduct that the ultimate good desired is better reached by free trade in ideas. . . . The best test of truth is the power of the thought to get itself accepted in the competition of the market, and that truth is the only ground upon which their wishes safely can be carried out
Quote:The question in all of this is, of all the people you know and all the people you love and trust implicitly in most facets of daily life (perhaps even with your life), who would you trust to be the absolute arbiter of what you can read, or hear, of have said? I know of noone, no matter how much I love them, that I would cede this responsibility to. Certainly I would not give it to any politician or judge.
In my personal view, I think Wendell Holmes' judgement is one of the great smears on the excellent legal tradition of the US.
Of course I wouldn't put anyone in charge of being absolute arbiter of what you can read hear or say. But doesn't mean there isn't any room for courts and judges to make determinations on certain limited issues.
The purpose of speech speech protection is "discovery of Truth through free exchange of ideas." By that metric, healthy and honest dialectic would be the ultimate in valued speech, while chanting slogans over and over to drown out a speaker is actively suppressing the exchange of ideas. In that case the content of the speech isn't the point, so much as the literal noise created by the barbaric vocalizations. Using noise to drown out someone else's speech isn't worth making illegal, but it's a good example of speech with negative but no positive value. It's use of speech as a nothing more than a crude tool to achieve an immediate end. The only reason it's not illegal is because the consequences aren't serious enough to warrant making it illegal.
So what kind of speech is made illegal? Deliberately inciting "imminent and likely lawless action." You can't lie about someone to deliberately or negligently to ruin their life (defamation). You can't falsify your identity to the police. You can't commit fraud. Swatting and similar types of hoaxing are illegal. Harassment is illegal. These all share the same trait in common, which is that the content of the speech is false or irrelevant, and the purpose of the speech is cause specific consequences. It's "speech" in name only being used as nothing but a blunt hammer to damage society. The purpose of harassment isn't to "exchange ideas," the purpose of harassment is to scare intimidate and harm.
The Fake News Anti-Trump Narrative Stuff, I believe that still needs to be protected but I will have to work through that some other time as I have someplace to be...

(06-16-2017 01:09 PM)Preston Blood Wrote: It's real simple. You got two choices:
- Make people resistant to mind control and manipulation
- Take control of the mind control system
The first one is a really rare breed and it's probably impossible without radical genetic, neurological, and biological manipulation. In other words it's not something you can simply teach or instill, a person has to be a certain type of person in the first place genetically / neurologically.
The second is the current approach although you should realize just how vast and invasive the elites machine and system is in this regard.
I don't think people, even among the red pill, really understand what they are dealing with here.
The first one isn't impossible but it may take a generation depending on how far we've fallen. And ultimately, that is the only way to save western civilization. Without individual liberty and responsibility, there is no Western Civ.
1. Take back the universities. Keep shining the light on the corrupted disciplines. See: Heterodox Academy. Fucking Jordan B. Peterson, he appears to be on a one-man crusade to save the humanities. Universities are the source for all this filth. Shine the light of truth on these cockroaches and watch them into the shadows.
2. Take down the legacy media, using their own tactics against them until they either straighten up and make a real effort to regain trust or they become completely irrelevant. Mike Cernovich is the tip of the spear here, with Rebel Media, Infowars, and the internet at large joining the fight. Pull no punches when it comes to libshit media. Make their existence a living hell until they demonstrate a real commitment to the truth. It is too bad that it has come to this, but the legacy media needs to be shamed into bankruptcy.
3. Produce quality new media of all sorts, including news, music, and movies that espouse principles of liberty, truth, and personal responsibility. Promote those that already do.
4. Defend free speech on existing platforms, and build new ones to replace old ones that no longer serve the truth.
5. Debunk or question blue pills as you encounter them, especially among millenials and Gen Z people. In my experience, most people are nowhere near as blue-pilled in real life as the media would make it seem, or even as they appear on facebook. Many aren't psychologically ready to be "red pilled" so to speak, but you can at least shake the confidence in their siren song ideologies.

It hasn't taken much to make them super-partisan. I remember the early 1990s, back before talk radio had a massive effect on politics under Clinton...and, while they were certainly left-leaning, the networks wanted to look respectable, and would ask their own favorite candidates hard questions during debates. After eight years of hating Reagan and wanting to see his party go down in flames, they still asked Dukakis to elaborate on his views on furlough days for convincts. He imploded on stage and the election went to Bush.
Talk radio and internet media certainly affected the 1990s (it drove the takeback of congress and Clinton's impeachment over the Lewinsky scandal), but even in 2000, I remember the media tried as hard as they could to look like they didn't prefer Gore to Bush. Fox News changed all of this in the 2000s, and the existing news stations started drifting leftward to combat what they saw as an unfairly conservative agenda.
Now what we have is Fox (anti-Trump, cuckservative, but still more balanced than the others) and the leftist stations, which are barely veiled propaganda.
What is the future of news, though? As much as I like getting my news through this forum, Vox Day's blog, and Rebel Media/Infowars, I admit none of those sources are anything close to balanced. Do we just destroy all legacy media and then everyone gets their news from their own biased sources?

Yeah, the same argument came up when this photo went viral:
"That's a cheap shot" and "she's going to suffer unjustly because of this" were bandied about by conservatives reverting their knee-jerk expertise at snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.
