Yeah... I had to review this thread. Quite a lot of truth. Sad really. I think our generation took too many wrong turns. Most of my friend's parents are dumbfucks and gave them too much politically correct advice at the wrong time. What's wrong with this generation? I'll tell you what. Entitlement. Narcissism. Instant Gratification. Belief in fairy tale endings. There's just too much. Too much oversaturation. Too much pandering. Too much grasping for attentions from peers with the attention span of toasted bread. Too much everything.

My generation doesn't know how to work on themselves. Instead of that, we buy a whole bunch of junk we don't need, watch television shows with characters that act like they were pulled off of an Adult Swim reject cartoon, and post witty status updates on Facebook. I see my fellow males shoot themselves in the foot everyday. Oneitis. Failure to maintain frame. Pedestalization. Just failure to see things from a masculine perspective.

It doesn't get better as we progress in our twenties. Most men will never learn what being a true man is because dad wasn't around to teach them or he was too beta/omega to do so. Most men can't even comprehend being a real man because it's just too much responsibility.

Everyone wants something to be handed to them.

People like Lady Gaga, Justin Beaver, and Skilrex or whatever the fuck his name is are seen as better musicians than Chopin, Led Zeppelin, or Tupac.

No wonder we're in the toilet, our culture is straight up trash.

Well american culture is, atleast since the 90's .
And for some reason it is eager to flood the world with it more & more.
For everything I love the USA and it's achiviements, I also hate it equally as much for forcing up their values & culture upon other nations.

Check out the recent remake of "21 Jump Street" for a hilarious take on it.

Two late-twenties cops go back to school undercover. The cool one thinks he's got the school social scene all figured out. They quickly realise that "cool" these days isnt what it used to be. The king of the pack is no longer the alpha jock who gets the girls... all the "in-crowd" are bisexual, hipsterish, eco-friendly. It's funny as fuck.

I have it from a reliable source that about 10% of 17-18 yr olds now at my old high-school are openly bi or gay.

When I was there (10 years ago) there was not one person (would have dared admit it, at any rate). It's fashionable now.

Mind = blown...

Yeah, it is interesting.

Culture used to flip-flop between soft and hard.

For instance, the early 90's were a backlash against the soft, greed, era of the 80's.

But in the late 90's things turned soft again.

And there hasn't been a backlash to it since.

USA culture has been soft from 1998 (or so) - 2013 and beyond.

There is probably a million reasons for this, but the biggest is the kids these days have no "rebellion" in them.

They love just letting corporations and the world shove thing down their throats with a smile.
