This guy is no dummy. Look at his career path.

It would take a stupendous lack of critical thinking to believe that he would not attempt to influence the US presidential election.

Russia has a horse in the race, as Putin himself here admits. The two candidates have different views on US relations with Russia. Both have brought Russia up as a talking point in debates and elsewhere.

Russia is certainly capable of doing something that the CIA has done in the past: influencing the political process of another country.

The Russian foreign ministry office in Houston recently requested to be an independent observer in the polling places of three states, which is more of a political move than anything else, and subtly reinforces Trump's narrative about a rigged election.

If they are willing to exert influence via political channels, then they would almost certainly do it where nobody is looking.

But, Putin is probably right that Americans are being distracted from the issues that matter. Lack of media attention on wikileaks is an example of this, as is the smear campaign against Trump involving the Access Hollywood conversation.

Regarding the nature of the distraction.....It's interesting to note that the same "he's a sexual predator" tack has been taken against both Assange and Trump. This says something about the sociological disposition of the intended audience. These are the kind of accusations that resonate in countries where the masculine identity is under attack, like the US.

I'm glad Putin has a clear view of the situation, and doesn't want to escalate Hillary's threats.

Cultures and people get wiped out if they are weak. SJWs and the like, are sheep and are being led on a "utopian" path, but sadly Utopias don't exist. I doubt many have travelled and have seen the realities of the world and how lucky they are to be living in a country that many have worked very hard to give them the lifestyle they choose to live. Preaching to the choir here......

The hypocrisy of the MSM and democrats saying Russia and other parties wiki etc are influencing the election. The USA is no saint in this matter as well. Truly the rigged system is distracting the voters from the major problems they face.

Everytime I see these videos of Putin, it is real talk. Of course he has to articulate wisely, but he certainly does not talk in political bullshit phrase speech.

If Russia really wanted to influence the US elections, they would steal and release Hillary's health records. I refuse to believe the KGB* does not have that capability.

* I know it's no longer the KGB. But damn, 25 years after the fall of the Soviet Union on and everyone still calls it that. I don't think even Coca-Cola was ever that good at branding.

I live in Europe - we are currently experiencing a flood of Middle Eastern immigrants. They seem to have a particular sensitivity to pork products ;-)

Also, ever heard of the term MCP - male chauvinist pig? Maybe I'm dating myself here...
