I'll try to keep this from sounding self-indulgent.

I'm at college and in my social group (males - 18yo) I have a reputation as an aggressive hot head.

These things have a tendency to get around and girls seem to have been informed that I'm not to be approached.

It doesn't hurt my approaches with girls outside of the establishment which suggests that either they find my vibe attractive or that it's not as obvious in those situations. It's particularly pronounced when I'm intoxicated.

Do you guys think I should make a conscious effort to be more approachable or should I work on using this to my advantage in the sense that girls know I won't take shit?

Calls me on it in what context? Do you mean girls shit testing me or guys kicking off?

I have a way with words so shit tests are usually identified and out-maneuvered with confidence. If necessary I'll straight up call the bitch out, but I doubt this differs much from the majority of the forum.

As for guys, anyone can claim to be/do anything over the internet, so let's just say I do what I need to.

Don't make apologies for your behavior and don't let it affect your self-esteem. At the same time, why are you so hot-headed? What are you so angry about? When everyone else is having fun, you should try to be friendly and fun rather than an aggro vibe-killer. It takes time to get this right, but first you have to find out what you're so angry about and why. It's not healthy to be hotheaded.

There's a different lingo here but I'm guessing it's a freshman. If so, that has absolutely nothing to do with it. Besides doing what you need to do could be running the hell away!
