Every10GivesMeA10 had a good post below that made me think.

Anyone been in this situation before: you are rolling with your girlfriend or a girl you just met leaving a club and you get jumped by multiple cats?

I am trying to think but I don't think it has ever happened to me, although I admit, it is something I really don't look forward to.

What happened? How did it go down?

What do you do to avoid it?

I think the best way to avoid is with presence and vibe, although, I have been jumped many times in my life for no reason.

Hasn't happened yet, but I've had packs of 8-10 black guys surround me and my 2 girls in Hollywood. The girls were scared as hell. I diffused the situation w/cigarettes, light chatting and un-phased vibe.

I could totally see this happening in Hollywood. You get a bunch of drunk dudes coming out the club at 1:45am, dealing with difficult girls all night, they're angry, got no pussy to come home and then they see a dude alone with two girls and want to test his manhood. That area around Hollywood blvd is full of haters and can be really ghetto too.

I once heard a guy tell a story about being menaced leaving a club. He walked to his car, opened the trunk, and stood by the open trunk until the guys backed off (as if he had a gun in the trunk). He was a nice guy but had an intense vibe. I could picture him pulling this off. Balls of steel.

Situational awareness can prevent most confrontation.Not to mention I avoid bad situations like the plague but if somebody wants to take it there I can deal with that too.I can over look a lot of things but when it's time to defend my life or those close to me I just go to a VERY dark place in my mind.I've worked in some pretty shady night clubs and bars so I've learned when to hold em and when to fold em.

Im all for shining but flossing around a bunch of bitter broke muthafuckas is the quickest way to an ass whooping that I know of.Alot of cats don't even have sense enough to either tuck their chain and leave the bank roll at home or better yet stay outta gutter establishments altogether.Flossing is asking to get robbed or jumped where Im from unless you got a rep as a stone cold killer.In that case the jack boys will buy your drinks and introduce their girl friends to you outta fear.

I have been jumped once (while solo). Never with a girl though.

I have been sucker punched while with a girl.

I was standing outside a friends bar with a girl that I had hooked up with in the past, and was on my way home with again.

Suddenly there is a blast of pain and my vision is all over the place and I am struggling to stay conscious. I feel some hands helping me to stay on my feet and I feel a sudden rage building inside of me.

I hear my name being called and I try and focus on a face in front of me. A friend of mine is a bouncer there and also the only black guy in the place. I can barely make a face out but I know its him and he is asking if I am ok and other questions.

I finally feel the adrenaline and my eyes and hearing are back and I am mad asking who did this. There is an alley way next door and I see another bouncer waving for me to come over. I go over and see a guy doubled over and another bouncer standing over him. The guy is holding his hand and stomach and the bouncer that waived me over asks if I want to kick him in the ribs a few times before they drag him into the piss puddle (where all the homeless and junkies piss in the alley). I decline but recognize him as one of the girls guy friends.

I look for the girl and she is gone.

My jaw and head hurt for almost a week, especially chewing was painful.

Only once on a date someone stuck a gun in my car and took the girls purse, the retard was parked behind me and I chased him he turned down a dead end and got out and pulled his gun out and I ran him over. He went to the ER and lived I told the detective he took three grand in cash from me(lie) and he had pay me back. lol

When in doubt run them over.

On another note I actually hooked up during an armed robbery with the guys little sister who was sticking the gas station that belonged to my friend up. She was in the parking lot and I walked over to open her while the brother and friend tried to rob the place with a sawed off. Cute Puerto rican girl. We started dating and her brother also got ran over and arrested that night by my friend so she had to sneak around to see me. He was pissed..

Honestly, clubs are brutal for this, and it's the reason I don't frequent them anymore. Lots of gangs, lots of pointless violence. The only way to reliably avoid this is to roll 8-10 deep.

Girlfriend: My girlfriend is worth standing up for. Since I care about her, I'll scrap it out if a fight can't be avoided.

Girl I just met: I would avoid treating her as my subordinate just because she's a woman. I have no right to interfere with her empowerment. As such, I would watch her take a beating from a distance, and inform her after said drag out that she has a cast-iron jaw and takes a punch like a champ -- every bit as well as a man does. With any luck, she'd be a feminist, and would laud my egalitarian spirit.

Probably wouldn't return to that club again.

Haven't been jumped while with a girl, but have had comments made a couple times. One of the times, 2 cholo types walked up to me and this chick while we were getting in my car.

Cholo: Eh mane I can see your puta's panties through her skirt

Cholo 2: (laughing)

Me: You really want to fuck with a cop? Test me.

Cholo: Oh no mane it's all good bro we were just playing have a great night


Stupid cholos. I'm not a cop but it's the BEST line if you know you're outnumbered. I can pull it off because I could pass for a cop so it has saved my ass a couple times.

Almost. I was with my ex walking through an alley into a parking lot.

I saw a guy standing around and the vibe was just off. I told her to give me her cell phone. (Back then, cell phones were thick and worked as a hand pack and this one had a 1" inch long, really thick antenna.)

I told her to run and I'd handle things, but that she was under no circumstances to try to intervene.

"You'd make it so I have to worry about 3 people - the two guys and you."

So I put the cell in my hand, made eye contact with the guy for 3 seconds as we walked past.

As we walk through the door into the lot, a white guy comes rushing out of the stairwell but runs away from us.

His boy must've given him a signal that they weren't going to catch us slipping.

Whenever I have a girlfriend, she is given the usual "standing order": If a fight is going to break out, get the fuck out of there. You aren't going to help. You are going to make it worse. Instead of me worrying about inflicting violence on others, I'll have to wonder if you're getting fucked up and then get distracted worrying about you.

In general, though, you can avoid getting jumped by holding eye contact for a second. That communicates that you're not intimidated but more importantly let's them know that you'll be able to ID them later on in a police line-up.

Sound similar to a time I was walking through a park to get home with this one girl. A bunch of guys clowning around decided to have some fun and ask for my money.

The girl grabbed on to left arm when it happened. I just told the guys I don't think so and they said they were joking.

If they weren't joking the girl would have screwed me up by holding on to me. I told her never to grab me like that and to run away and let me handle it.

Demeanor has a lot to do with it. I'm a big guy, but I understand that hyenas will attack lions if they smell fear. There were times where I deliberately slowed down my gait, made eye contact with closest people and said something along the lines of 'What's up". And proceededed on my way.

It happened to me inside Caesars Palace in Vegas. Got jumped by a group of guys over a 12 dollar drink.

I took my beating and went home.

The girl didn't flinch. She was from the the hood and probably sees this stuff every week.

A few years back I was in good ole Montreal.
Walked into a bar and some girl grabbed my ass, I thought it was going to be my lucky night with some hot french girl. Not the case she was a regular girl from Toronto, go figure! So we party for a bit and we end up walking back to my hotel, my buddy was up ahead.
For some strange reason she starts mouthing off two dudes, I think they were lebanese. One guy looks ready to hit her so I jump in like a fool, they start jumping around and try to distract me. One guy comes at me but I connect, his friend sees this and tries to take a shot at me. The girl grabs me and they back off shouting obscenties.
I ended up ripping the knee in my Hugo Boss suit!
She was not even that good in bed and tried to connect with me back home in Toronto.
I was pissed of for ruining a good suit on a girl that was not even worth it.
Morale of the story - don't fight other people's battles.

When you're an old man, you'll realize that good fight stories are harder to come by than good suits.

I haven't even been in a legitimate street fight in 2 years.

Once you have assets and professional credentials, you have to avoid one-on-one type of situations.

It sucks.

I did a lot of dumb shit and got into a lot of stupid fights. I regret none of them.
