I found this anecdote remarkably familiar:

Endless posts here over the years that could be answered just through even experiencing the situation twice, much less 50.

Agreed, approaching 300 girls and banging a handful of 5's and 6's as a raw beginner I would say is much better than only focusing in on 3 or 4 hot girl prospects slowly working on them over a period of 6 months. This experience will carry you much quicker to banging hotter girls faster.

I'd almost put an estimate math to it. For every 500-1000 approaches as a raw beginner you make your average looks in a girl will go up 1 point until the 7.5-8 mark. From there on it's more about status, luck, and social connections to get 8+s on the reg.

If you started going after and banging 5's by 1000-2000 approaches in you should be going after and banging at least 7's.

I wish newbies would just approach a lot of girls rather than coming on here to hyperanalyze every nuance of an interaction they had with one girl

Theory and analysis are useful, but you'll improve much faster just by having a lot of experience and training your subconscious instincts to take the correct actions

That is a ton of approaches. In a non-urban environment I think that will take a very long time.

Depends on what your goals are. If you're interested in racking up high numbers for whatever reason, then you're gonna have to go out and bang anything and everything you can.

If that's not your scene, then don't do it.

If you focus on the other aspects of game, being the total package -- improving your physique, your fashion sense, your personality, your logistics, studying game and applying it in real life situations, etc -- then there's no reason why you shouldn't hold out for women you're truly attracted to.

The answer to the quality vs. quantity question that players ask really depends on your value, the main component of such value on a cold approach being looks (assuming the requisite confidence to approach and social skills to maintain the approach).

If you're a player who's average to below average in looks, then the "quantity" that you run through in the US, sorry to say, is gonna be fatties and plain janes. A legit cutie or two will provide more pleasure than dozens upon dozens of fatties or plain janes. Here the answer is quality.

If however you're above average in looks you can pull cuties (6-7s) with ease. In that case the difference in satisfaction between an already hot girl and a hotter girl (8 & up) will likely be disproportionally less than the difference in work required to get the latter. Here the answer's quantity.

No, this parable is about one simply fact: with experience comes quality. It is the experience of going out and gaming that you acquire the skills to get high quality girls.

Getting started in game you need to approach a lot of girls.

Let's look at it this way: let's assume that girls' ratings are evenly distributed. If you only ever approach 8's and above, you're only getting 20% of the possible reference points you can have. Getting good at game takes practice, and if you're only talking to 20% of girls, than you're short selling yourself massively. Even if you talk to girls who are 5's and above, you're now talking to 2.5x more girls, getting 2.5x more reference points as to how to handle girls, have dealt with 2.5x more shit tests, and have eliminated your approach anxiety because you've talked to 2.5x more girls. No, you probably won't want to bang that 5, but by approaching her, seeing the way she reacted, you've learned some more about game and know you can get her. You've got confidence, and now the 8 will see that. If you've only been approaching 8's, and have been blown out all day, you will be down, and the next girl will see that. If you've got a 5 hanging on your every word, a 6 will see that, so you game her a bit, and move your way up the ladder. Trust me, by taking to a large group of girls you will end up banging hotter girls quicker. Also, who knows who has hot friends. I've been talking to a girl who was a 6 and a minute later her friend who was an 8 walked out of the bathroom. If I hadn't approached a girl I wouldn't bang, I wouldn't have gotten to open the 8 with nearly as much ease, I wouldn't have the social proof, and I wouldn't have been warmed up. Trust me, every girl can be a reference point. Use them accordingly.
