I'm 5'4 and can't recall ever being hated on by a woman for being short, I hear it a lot from guys at work but everyone gets it at work, whether you're short, fat, have a big nose, whatever. Anyone who knows me knows I'm a bit of a mouth piece and won't hesitate to nuke them over any perceived flaw they may have and trust me, no one is perfect and everyone is insecure about something. Having a silver tongue and no filter can be a great thing somtimes, whether you're short or not, if someone disrespects you, fucking nuke them, problem solved and egos shattered.

One comment I do remember that blew my mind was when I was at a family event at my best friend's house and his sister and her infant boy were there. They were beside me and she was making some baby talk with him and said something to the effect of "you're gonna big a big tall man some day, just like your daddy, that's why I married a tall man." This chick is short herself, shorter than me so about 5'0-5'2, and her husband is tall, about 6'2 but get this, before they were married, the guy got testicular cancer and thankfully made a full recovery and props to her for sticking it out with him. So basically this girl was willing to overlook this guys shitty, cancerous genes (not to mention he's introverted and shy, no personality and doesn't have a great job) just because of his height.

As for dating and gaming women, I think I do alright and am happy with the results I get but I have realistic expectations, I have banged lots of taller girls, a couple around 5'10 and it was fun to crawl all over them but my usual targets are obviously shorter girls in the 5'0-5'6 range. I accepted the fact long ago that most women want a taller guy and most don't want to date one shorter than them, so a lot of the really hot girls (8s+) who are 6'0 with their heels on are basically invisible to me in clubs and night life situations and that's fine with me. I usually go for the 6s anyway, sometimes I end up with a 7 and if I'm really drunk and horny, I'll take home a 5 at 3am haha. I know that some guys will say that this is a "limiting belief" but I don't care, I get in where I fit in and being seen with really hot women isn't a major priority in my life.

Honestly I don't think that its something to focus on too much if you're a short guy, like anyone else, short guys can focus on improving other areas of their lives and will see positive results. Or you can always hop on a plane and travel to a country where height isn't such a big deal, which is what I do, I'm in Bogota now and banged a cute girl a few times yesterday who I dare say wouldn't be kicked out of bed by most RVF members for eating crackers.

I see the height trolls have crawled out from under the bridge. I would bet my left nut that im better with girls than any guy who claims to have such an advantage for simply being taller. Im like bruce lee and youre a 250 pound clown whos never been in a fight but thinks he intimidates me. There is a male equivalent to this kind of woman. We used to make fun of it in college. It's the guy who dates the fat pig or butterface but overlooks that because "she's got real big tits, man!!"

I think women with height fetishes and men with big-boob fetishes are birds of a feather: they need their partners to exhibit their version of hyper-masculinity or femininity no matter what the downside.

On another note: I think the influx of Mexican immigrants is going to bring the national male height average way down. From what I see, a lot of the Hispanic men are around 5' to 5'5." This is not an insult; just an observation.

A large part about had to do with female competition. Most women do not want to have the shortest date in the room, because at a glance it means they have the weakest male. Yes a 5 girl can comfortably wear heels with her 5'6" boyfriend, but he is still shorter than her friends guys and that is the source of resistance. It is primal. Most women want to be on the arm of the biggest, baddest dude in the room which then makes her superior to her friends. You have to compensate either with big money or big personality aka game

I'll bet Teddy Roosevelt had wished he wasn't born asthmatic or with heart conditions. He could've used those as excuses to be mediocre. But he didn't. He flipped a MASSIVE bird at the hand he was dealt and played the shit out of those cards. In fact, I'm willing to bet that would not have been HALF the man he was if it were not for those challenges. Don't wish for an easier mountain, but instead be grateful it wasn't bigger and work at strengthening your legs.

This makes me think of a scene in the Godfather 2 where Michael is walking with his taller bodyguards. Despite his stature, he looks the most powerful in the group.

As a 5'8 American, I have few thoughts on this issue..

I don't think you can dismiss height as it is probably the number 1 physical attribute that women desire in a man. I have known several girls through the years who wouldn't even consider dating anyone under 6 feet. Some of these girls were average at best.

Taller guys have a clear advantage but I assume most take their height and this advantage for granted. From an early age, perhaps in college I realized I needed to excel in other areas. If you are short, a regular gym workout is essential. I have maintained a balanced work-out routine and diet through most of my life. I also learned fashion and spend money of stylish, good quality clothes. Finally, personality, intelligence and sense of humor are all critical factors. If I was taller, I am not sure I would have spent so much energy developing these qualities.

I have dated women from 5'0-5'10. However, the sweet spot seems to be 5'2-5'5. I think I need to approach more. You can absolutely overcome being on the short side with being muscular and becoming an interesting, charismatic person. Height is just one of the many attributes that define us. Height will only define your success if you let it.

Yuup, listening to what women wants is a waste of time, look at 50 shades of grey. Height does seem to be the one physical trait that girls feel no shame about expressing openly as a requirement.

I've seen a lot of girls state that they want a guy who is no shorter then a certain height or if they aren't as picky they'll at least state the guy must be taller then her. However girls typically won't come right out and say they will only date guys who make X amount of dollars per year or guys that are not fat or guys that are at least above average in looks. I have no idea why this is the case.

Just pointing out again that this wasn't intended to be a height/game thread. I just wanted to know based on your experiences if girls had an aversion to shortness in guys like we do with fatness in girls. I am well aware that game trumps all and I've never had an approach go sour because of my height.

Based on the response though, I am going to stop holding back on fat shaming and slut shaming because girls are dumb.

Social stigma, probably. Although not as powerful as the avoidance of being thought of as a slut, a lot of girls try to avoid outright saying they are gold-diggers, even if their actions blatantly signal it.

There is no social stigma for heightism toward men, or really any physical feature males possess. It's okay to call guys fat, short, ugly, whatever, but girls and white knights alike will dogpile you if you make even a passing comment about a girl's physical shortcomings.



This sort of thing really used to get to me, and I had (maybe even still do) have insecurity wrapped up in being small--and I'm 5'10" or 5'9". But honestly most people don't even notice it, and I've met lots of 6'1"+ guys who are complete pussywillows or even told me I intimidated them when they first met me, and I'm not a big strong guy.

Do taller guys have a high card to play? Sure, but if you don't know the rules to the game, how much is a high card worth to you?

Do taller guys have an advantage in a fight? Sure, but are you fighting to win social face, or fighting to win? If the former, I'd question motivation; do you really have a need to impress people? And if the latter, then I always think of this quote from a book by an infantry Marine Captain Nathaniel Fick:




There are several winning strategies to love as much as war.
If being short were really so much of a disadvantage then one would imagine there would be no more short people left.

While there are many things that determine attractiveness of men, height is one of them and a very big one. Denying it does no one any favors. Denying that women are possibly genetically incapable of seeing their hypocrisy that's up there with their hypocrisy of not seeing the equivalence between vaginal rape and paternity fraud also does no one any favors.

Can one use game to overcome this? Yes. However, it will be easier in certain places than others.

My primary experience with women is in DC, Toronto-Occupied-Ontario (T-O-O), and Denmark. While short men with game can get hot women in T-O-O and Denmark, it has to be world class game. You can't slip at all. Fail a shit test after a passing a fast zombie hoard of them, and you're done. And the practice that you will need to get that world class game in those places may not be realistically feasible given how unattractive the women are, how difficult the competition is, and how expensive in both money and time both places are (since self-improvement always requires some combination of money and time - the best usually involving minimal money and lots of time - but when you are taxed at 70% of your income while paying real estate prices comparable to Japan, even a little money and a little time is a big problem).

How bad is it in those places? On many occasions in both T-O-O and Denmark I've had a woman complain about men objectifying women for their beauty to turn around and say that they won't date men under 6'3" - and these girls are what I would consider sub-5 - especially T-O-O - some messed up female faces in those parts.

In DC, you don't have to be nearly as tall. Cute girls (6.5+) in DC say they won't date guys under 5'7". I realize that's cold comfort to a guy who is 5'6", but it does demonstrate that moving can significantly improve your situation.

If you are a short guy trying to learn game and get girls, take full advantage of the forum's Travel section and find a place that works for you. South East Asia will probably be too easy. But try to find a place where you can at least get on the playing field, like the American South. Because in T-O-O and Denmark, even with modern game, you can find yourself perpetually on the bench.

American South in general has shorter men. Even in Charleston, SC, the home of its aristocracy and tall men, you really don't need to worry about your height. New Orleans - your height is not even worth thinking about. Look at Danny504. Just work on your game. Reading his site would be a very good idea before going.
