Ahh, the Atlantic. Between Salon, DailyKos and the Atlantic, I know where I can find ignorant, left-wing bullshit. The Atlantic delivers today: "The Great Gender Debates of 2013."

Hilariously ridiculous article.

The easiest rejoinder is the comments about Angelina Jolie were simply sad. Their gendered concern was appearing sexy after having both of your breasts removed. Whew! Good to know that when you are threatened with the specter of death your primary concern is a famous celebrity declaring that she is still sexy after having both of her breasts removed.

Still, it is amazing how the Atlantic *still* folds gay issues, transsexual issues and basically anything that falls under a social justice warrior's interests into their site aimed at women. It suggests they know men, even when liberal, don't buy the dog-and-pony show of gender/gay debates. As I observed the other week, it simply is strange to see men engage in these sorts of debates, as it highlights how weak social justice types truly are. Sitting around and bitching about how everybody else has it so good and you don't isn't masculine whatsoever.

You get more mindless "equality" drivel like the despicable Andy Hinds.

Then they talk about women who "opt-out" not realizing that there is no liberation here, just another set of standards for women to adhere to. When you consider staying home and taking care of your kids is a political statement, you will be a shit mother. Every time.

Finally, they still are bitching and whining about how a reign of androgyny will cure sexism. It won't. Plenty of herbs/hipsters/male feminists still harbor all sorts of feelings about women. Plenty of mannish women and the like harbor nasty thoughts about men. It was never going solve anything because the destruction of chivalry and formalized relations between men and women brought men and women into direct conflict, not just at home but in the workplace. We primarily see each other as adversaries and for good reason.

The progressive solution was to dissolve "gender" so men and women would socialized the exact same way. Of course, biology exists and that mucks the program up, but what is most striking is that socializing men and women differently has zero bearing on sexism. The sort of sexism the Atlantic is bitching about died long ago, but if they admit that is true, so much of their female demographic will start behaving hysterically as they need to blame their inability to achieve grandiosity is because of sexism.

Yeah, The Atlantic can really be the bottom of the bottom. Occasionally I see a reasonable article in there about business or travel, but they have a fierce focus on "gender issues" and love pandering to the feminist crowd by printing all sorts of bullshit like this.

The Atlantic is nothing more than the intellectual mouthpiece of the liberal/progressive movement. It serves no value and should not be considered real journalism.

Truthisms according to The Atlantic:

1. Feminism is the one and only true religion.
2. Women need more rights--and need to be paid more because the wage gap is real and growing every year.
3. All Men are evil (especially white males)
4. Socialism/Communism created a more just and fair society--everyone was so happy under Mao and Stalin
5. Homosexuals are freaking incredible people and deserve special protections.
6. Women--Protect yourself from the r.ape culture--all men are rapists
7. Obama is an infallible God--anything to the contrary--racist
8. The world would be better off if we just had a female president
9. Single Men--you need to "man up" and marry our feminist sluts before their biological clocks strike midnight.
10. We need more money for education to further brainwash your children with government propaganda.
11. Only terrorists support the second amendment--lets ban all guns--except for the police and military.
