How good is this "pickup" scene?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A7OcktGcvXI

This is an episode from the old secret agent Danger Man series with Pat McGoohan; the scene goes from about 3:45-7:00.

It's not really a pickup scene, but I think in terms of mannerisms, body language, and conversation, he's the total alpha. If he really were trying to pick her up, what do think he should have said differently?

why are you asking these questions? do you want to emulate him? you have a post count of two, both of which have been used here. I'm skeptical.

in saying that though, i watched the clip, starts at 4 for anyone interested. i loved 3 things from it;

'you have a very vivid imagination'
'yes, it's one of the best things about me'

'you won't forget'
'no i won't. you might have to though'
'you're very sure of yourself aren't you'

'you're very well informed'
'i do my best'

Two posts, one of them is "bump."

Seems fishy...

McGoohan is the ultimate alpha male when it comes not saying too much yet getting your point across clearly so I try to emulate his mannerisms down to his exact words whenever possible. If you've read Roissy's Women Prefer Laconic Men you'll know what I mean. I'm usually very introverted when not around women and game has forced me to open up a bit more around strangers and coworkers.

It's not real life
It's not a pickup.
The guy is cocksure, but the girl didn't show any deference.

Basically great for noir, but useless for real life, unless you're trying to bang a.movie buff who loves film.
