I have square frame tortoise shell Persols.

Bought them at Sunglasses Hut a few years ago.

They are dope, and they up your cool look.

But I'm paranoid about losing them.

I bought a set of used folding wayfarers on ebay for cheapish, in the end I couldn't stomach $150 for a pair of glasses that I might break or loose in a week, but $60 seemed more worth a try.

I am on year four with my McQueen Persols and they look just as fresh as the day I bought them. A bit of tightening the screws on all the hinges from time to time and thats it.

Also: Pop in to any high end sunglasses shop and have the girl there clean them for free. It makes a huge difference.

Also: Luxury sunglasses sales girls are hot.

Also: Those same girls love a man in Persols.

Nice. I love the McQueen ones. How much did those set you back?

I picked up some new Persols this year for like $300. Expensive but top notch and I intend to look after them for years.

The only problem with getting good sunglasses is that you need to buy another cheap pair for the beach.

Just to clarify, I picked up both. I did see another pair of the McQueens, I might go and get them to flip. See guys online asking $400 for them, also Sunglass Hut sells them for $450 Canadian.

I feel like now I need a classic car with a wooden steering wheel and walnut dash.

depends a little on what social circles you're running around in (if you are in a big group of prepster types you're probably one of many wearing them) but for the most part they're classic style. they've come back into style but even 5-10 years in the future it won't be a poor more.

Ebay occasionally has them on sale - they are advertising on the front page a decent variety of Wayfarers (and Aviators - also classic style and probably even less likely to ever be played out) for $69.99 shipped.

Hey, instead of wearing what everyone else is and looking like an automaton, why not break out and establish your own style? Find something that fits your face, that looks good on you - take a chick wiTh you to select a style that works. That or find a sunglass store with a Cute babe you can hit on while she provides you advice?
