It is pretty troubling all round for the individuals until they sort themselves out, if that is at all possible. They feel shit because they have a need to be a man or woman and they are opposite to that. Then they go round dressed as man or woman, people can see the situation and show disapproval, curiosity or whatever. It must be a nightmare walking down the street with people looking at you all the time.

I think he hit it right on the spot, it's a serious mental illness that needs to be treated and not celebrated. And yes, the question is, where are the old trannies? I've lived in Thailand and didn't see them there. They kill themselves or die from disease or drugs is the unfortunate truth.

Trannies work in every industry in Thailand, I've seen them in banks, stores, tv hosts, there is no stigma and yet, the older tranny is still incredibly rare to the point they do not exist.

A lot of the older crowd are cross dressers and are just as mentally handicapped as the trannies. A lot of them are also married or lead double lives and won't take the mental hit of coming out and being a woman.

Homosexual activity and lifestyle is extremely risky to the human body. The older you get the less of them there are.

As was stated, I think it was token compassion and his tone is a bit harsh. I don't think he's wrong, I do think it is a mental illness.
