The FDA being a corrupt organization that allows useless dust with questionable ingredients be sold at premium prices under the guise of "supplements". The same organization that bans testosterone but allows poison like Propecia, Zoloft and Xanax be prescribed to millions.

Financial "gurus" who haven't made jack shit during their careers trying to sell you "tips on how to invest".

Western politicians actively funding and arming the fabricated "Free Syrian Army" which they say is composed of "media activists, opposition figures and marginalized rebels" when in reality it is an organized group of Wahhabi Islamist terrorists keen on destroying Syria and establishing a caliphate. Assad has to go because he is a dictator but the Saudi, Emirati and Qatari death cult monarchies who are known state sponsors of terrorism and have funded extremist Islam across the world are acceptable.

Hollywood glorifying cops by creating this image of them being bad ass guardian angels who can do no evil and will sacrifice themselves for your safety when it is well known fact that they will not hesitate to gun you down at the slightest imagined provocation.

It feels like walking through a valley full of predators. Everyone seems to have an agenda. I can understand private parties taking the end justifies the means approach but the fact that the government seems to be in on it too just rubs me the wrong way.

I don't really know where I'm going with this. It is extremely frustrating to witness organizations, institutions and people whose word you deemed as absolute truth lie to you with such impunity.

Happiness equals reality minus expectations. I'm assuming that you, like me, were raised to believe the government was just and had your best interests at heart. Your disillusionment stems from that expectation not being met.

Go tell a Russian about government corruption and they'll look at you with a blank face as if you just told him the sky was blue.

This is great advice in terms of happiness. This is why burmese refugees would come to work with an ear to ear smile every day with us despite being on the shittiest job sites imaginable. When asked "why do you like this job so much?" they replied "No one shooting at me"

In terms of trust, there is a local security company that has a motto I love, it goes "Trust in God, monitor everyone else"

Our western culture has said fuck you to thousands of years of hard fought experience in how to get shit done and make it stick. In short: lying is legal and there are strong financial incentives to lie. In the prime of civilization, lying could get you executed by the government or killed by the offended party. The deterioration began when they outlawed dueling. Liars today are rarely held to account, even in areas like perjury.

Yes, the world is a bit on the deceptive side. Maybe something I say below will be helpful...

Reframe things in a positive light. Ex: Deception is everywhere! Use lies to make money online by marketing unnecessary crap to chumps who haven't woken up.

Use your knowledge to help people. Ex: Hey guys, I figured out that the MSM wants us to be afraid and spend money! You can find ways around that by not running up credit cards, living below your means, and creating a culture of honesty and competition!

Create YOUR world. Ex: develop a social circle of friends (you can make some on RVF!) that are unplugged from the matrix. Use the system to your advantage and develop systems and propound philosophy you believe in.
