I'm lucky in that I have a fairly young face for my age(35). Most women guess me to be around 28, which is great since women in their mid 20s is what I'm most interested in. Only thing that sucks is that my hair is starting to turn grey fast and that's going to give away that I'm not as young as my face looks. Been considering starting to dye my hair now. I even bought some hair dye but when I read the instructions, I was put off by how messy and complicated it is. I keep my hair close cut now so I'd have to be dying it like once a week and that seems like a hassle.

Is there any sort of dye that's just quick and simple, and maybe works like a shampoo? Will it stain your sheets and pillows too?

If you find one let me know. I was greying in my late 30's. For anything really permanent it seems to require a 2 part mix.

My hair is blonde which doesn't show the grey as compared to a darker hair color. But I finally settled on "Just for Men". It's relatively inexpensive and takes about 20 minutes.

Anything like a conditioner or shampoo dye will fade easily. Especially in a pool with chlorine.

You seem to be reacting to the presence of grey hair more than any negative feedback you're getting from girls, which you didn't mention. Is it possible than some additional gray could be beneficial for girls in your target range?

Yeah, I thought that grey hair wasn't a big deal. Some chicks dig the "mature" look.

I'd focus on keeping your body in shape and your personality sharp.

I show off my grey hair to girls as young as 18 and they always compliment it. Until you get into your 40s, I think grey hair is an asset more than anything.

I have some visible grey slivers all over my hair and I get lots of compliments on it. They even admire the fact that it's natural and it's not a dye job.

women love mature men, women aren't generally attracted to younger men. Older men signify status and stability, I got some silvers in my goatee, I can't be arsed to dye them although I do when I got this 22 year old coming over..cos I told her I was 25 or sumthang..once I smash her, I'll stop dying that shyt...

I find it ironic that your avatar is of the World's Most Interesting Man: a fictional character we all admire (even with tongue-firmly-in-cheek) and is considerably gray.

Like a lot of the guys above, I have my stray grays here and there. They've been showing up quite a bit lately and really "pop" against my hair, which is quite dark. I yank out the ones that are squiggly or odd-looking, but leave most of the rest in. If a girl makes a comment, I just say, "Oh, I've had grays since I was in high school," which is complete bullshit. But that's quite rare because, like you, I'm blessed with a face that looks sufficiently youthful that the really young girls assume I'm pretty close to their age (for now).

I think fucked-up skin and an out-of-shape physique does a lot more to make you look old in front of the young babes. Gray hair, with youthful looks, is really a neutral at worst--and more likely a plus--to most chicks. That said, I think it suits certain cats more than others. If you don't think it's doing your look any favors, bite the bullet and Just-For-Men the shit out of it.

Go see a hairdresser/stylist. They do it routinely, and the dyes they use are stronger and stay longer than the store ones. And no mess. I do it routinely, typically once in a three months. Consider it like acne treatment - you have issues which affect your looks, you want to fix them, go for it.

It will not stain your sheets and pillow, but if you apply it at home, it WILL stain your bathroom, no matter how careful you are. Worse, those stains are VERY hard to remove. Even worse, you may stain your face too, and will have this stain for a couple of days. So don't waste your time, chip in $40 and see the hair stylist.

And get the second opinion. Grey hair per se is not a problem. Some people grey the way which looks very nice. But for some - like me - it looks like you ran under the bleach shower, so there is nothing particularly cute there.

Yes, I take a tablespoon every morning with hot water, and sometimes a second tablespoon before bed or late afternoon.

BE careful taking too much because it contains Iron. Black Strap Molasses is basically the third boiling of the sugar cane. Sugar cane plants goes down into the earth about 6 meters and absorbs a lot of those essential trace minerals. I do it for the energy. I had been doing it for a month or so and went to visit my mom and she literally thought I died my hair. I never had a grey hair I'm only 27, but I did def lose my childhood dirty blonde naturally coloring which is somehow back now from light brown.

Tons of trace minerals in molasses. Magnesium is a big one. I started going grey at 20. Stress and nutrition is to blame its become such a mess that my pubes are already greying. That's fucked up. I know for a fact my B-levels were off, Magnesium was low. My rate of greying has slowed down but I never view it as a bad thing. Only the pube issue is messed and the one time I broad seen this was kinda like "wtf" but on the head I think its good if your under 40 and in great shape. If I was a white guy with that type of hair I would start rocking this look in my mid 30's. Salt and pepper with those tinted temples. Its like plunging into the reality of going grey and making it look fresh. Heres a former NHL coach Marc Crawford as an example.



For us brothers tho alot of us run to the hair dye and thus get them 'purple pillows' (any OG going to have navy or black pillow covers and sheets.. best believe). I get why though since Black guys generally age way slower then other folks looking like your 35 when your 48, Grey hair can dead that quickly. Obama looks like a tierd sap with his new grey, but he rocks it well though. Him and Will Smith the only Black figures I can think of off the top of the dome that openly rock their grey looks.







The key for brothers is to keep it nice and low, once its starts going out it looks like a bushweed. and You'll look like Kofi Annan.



Only way I find it looks good grown out is if you get a classic shaped military type cut like Jackie Robinson. He was one of the best at rocking the grey look. Always looked clean cut, mature, and proper.

I have had tons of compliments with my greying hair. I`m in my early 40`s and women real do dig it. Of course not all, but i have never had any negative reaction to it. Embrace it and get a great hair style that compliments it.

I'm getting grey hairs, which really annoyed me, because lots of people told me i had great hair. I'm only 28, and my hair's very black, so it's def noticeable
Are there environmental factors that might make a difference? being honest, my diet has sucked for a few months, and exercise has fallen off because i was really stressed and annoyed. haven't got much sun either this summer

I've got some grey in my goat. Lose about 5 years if I shave it.

Since it grows back quickly I can go with either look over a span of a couple weeks.

Guys like Clooney can rock that grey look as seen in the pic - the universal theme here is keep the hair reasonably short and neat and it'll look good. And if some girl gives you shit about it (never heard it happen), is she really going to reject you based on your hair colour? Or will it be a proxy for something else?

Yeah, I've got some too--early 40s, so it's about time. Honestly I usually get compliments on it. Girls go batshit crazy if they see any grey hair on themselves, but often like the look in men.

Ditto a lot of the above comments. I'm 47ish, but I keep my body in good shape and got my finances wired.

Somebody on here in another thread spoke about vibrating both physically and financially. That goes a long way to pull the hotties. That works for me. I get more early to mid 20's tail now than ever.

They all love George and the grey reminds them of daddy, both pluses. I am the same age as George and I wish I had the grey he's got going on.

My problem is I'm now transitioning from brown to grey and the greys got a fucking mind of their own. The little bastards like to stick straight out. I'm keeping a short crop for now while I transition. But you better believe I'm going "George" just as soon as I can.

The grey pubes are another story.

I have been going grey since I was about 21, with Dark brown, almost black hair...it is very noticeable. I am now 28 with approx. 30-40% grey. Also, as a professional athlete, I cannot have grey hair as image is very important, as it can be with many careers. I will definitely try this molasses cure, even if it does not work for my grey hair, you can never find too many ways to get those kinds of NATURALLY occurring nutrients into your body. (supplements are fine, but your body processes and extracts nutrients from real food much more efficiently). I digress.
I dye my hair with "darkest dark brown-just for men", and through trial and error, found the best ways to extend the life of the color, a lot:

1. get your hair cut THEN go home and dye it, not vice versa...I had initially feared being called out for dying it by the barber/stylist, but soon realized that was stupid. Also, avoid them washing/shampooing it after the cut...

2. ...avoid washing your hair before dying it. For whatever reason, a little natural oil in your hair helps the dye bond...I'm no scientician, so I won't try and explain why.

3. After dying it, (I leave the dye in a few extra minutes than they recommend, have never had ill effects for doing this) rinse it with luke warm water in the shower, NOT hot. I rinse it very well but don't use shampoo or conditioner. Hop out of the shower, use a shitty towel to dab your hair (your towel will stain)...then I let it air dry... aggressively drying it with a towel wipes a lot of the color out. Chill out and kill some time til your hair naturally dries.

4. Your hair will smell funky, like the dye: obviously unacceptable for leaving your spot. Now jump back in the shower and wash your hair with a conditioner (much milder than shampoo)...you can get shampoos/conditioners that are designed for dyed hair too, that are milder.

5. Now you just have to TRY and best avoid the external things that assault your hair:
-being in the sun a lot kills it; wear a hat when possible or if you're at the beach etc slide a little sunblock in your hair...trust me, its not noticeable.
-try and avoid constantly using paste, gels etc...the chemicals strip the color from your hair. I actually use cocoa body lotion in my hair now, looks better than any gel or paste I've ever used, moisturises my hair and smells wicked...girls love it too, whenever their nose is in my hair (which can never be often enough) I can tell it drives them crazy.
-avoid very hot water on your head, I can live in the hot shower (if only I had a garburator like Kramer) but it strips the color fast...same goes for steam rooms and saunas...I love em too, but my color is gone in a week if I hit the sauna everyday.

Before I started doing the above, my (dyed) hairs were an embarrassing orangey brown color in about 10 days...now I'm good for at least a month if not two. I hate dying my hair, so these little tricks pay off in my opinion.

Hope this helps some for those who have no choice but to start dying your hair.

Women tend to like men who look/act like their father. If they are attracted to gray hair it's probably because her parents had her when they were older ...late 30's. That's her subconscious image of what a "man" is. It's a good thing if you ask me. She'll probably be a decent girlfriend.

I use the hair dyes that are available for women in the store. It works great. There is no difference between men's hair and women's hair. Having a man's hair dye is just marketing and they are all uniformly crappy.
