Some context might be helpful. What's the story leading up to that text?

For example there was a situation a while ago where I got a "I'm not ready to date" text to which I replied "Whoa there little poodle...slow your roll. Who said anything about dating?...I just invited you to hang out at xxxx"...I banged her on 2nd or 3rd date (cant remember)

Thanks ! That "k" response is genius .. Wish I had consulted the forum first before I did a beta response allowing her off the hook.

It was a second date set up . Day before I get the " is doesn't feel right , I have feelings for someone else I think , lets be friends , not right at the mo " blar blar.

My response was along the lines of fine , no problem , I'm not being friends , if I'm single and things change for you , we could get that date.

In hindsight , probably too beta .. doh .. live and learn .

I don't see anything wrong with that response. Most of these women's dating and social lives are like icebergs, meaning there's a huge amount of shit going on beneath the surface that we don't see like exes they're considering going back to, current boyfriends they're contemplating leaving, husbands that they're stepping out on etc.

Countering back with "let me know if you change your mind" you're leaving the door open for them if their other background noise quiets down. You're not promising them that you'll be available or interested if and when they get back to you so the whole alpha/beta argument here is trivial in my opinion.

The only thing I would add is if you give the "let me know..." reply it's 100% radio silence after that unless they reinitiate. You're not chasing them after that point and if they reach out to you again you have the upper hand.

I like simple game. Look if she says this what she really means is 'I'm not attracted to you." If you where George Cloony, or Mr. Grey she would instantly become ready to date you. You probably won't be able to change her mind.

That being said it is in your interest if you can get her out. If you show her a good time on a date attraction will grow.

So wait for a week or a month and then send her a restart text. Maybe you'll text her when she's sad and lonely, or when she has begun to reevaluate you in her head. Maybe she'll be feeling adventurous when you text her. Ask her out again. I would say try sending 2 restart texts at most and then forget about her.

The true alpha response is whatever you want to say or not say, because you are alpha and what lesser beings do is none of your concern.

When Dad changes the channel from Disney to the game, he's being alpha. Mom and the kids defer to his authority. They may grumble, but his power is recognized.
