I hate texting or chatting with a girl on tinder or some shit, I work vastly better in person, I can make a girl laugh then escalate to touching quickly but with texting or chatting it seems like you have put more effort into making conversation, I rather do that in person as you can read a lot more into the person face to face.

I also find texting a girl I know much easier as I can keep it short and its cool because I'll see her eventually anyway but on tinder you have to actually have a conversation, not a fan of a back and forth, I just want to get to the point.

Any tips?

Read Roosh's texting guide. Most dudes hate texting and a lot of them ascribe to the "strictly logistics" school of thought. Keep things short, sweet, and mainly all about planning for the meet.

Granted this is tough when you're doing online game because unless your pics are stellar, most broads will need to have a bit of comfort built through text.

Just try to keep things light, short, and fun.

I'm of the opinion that short texting for logistics does not work at all (for girls you haven't yet secured). You have to be an entertaining texter, not over the top, just witty and flirtatious. There isn't a tip, trick, secret, or work-around. The only choices you have: Be an entertaining texter (adapt), be well above her in physical attractiveness, sift thru 100 girls and find the 1 that doesn't engage in the bullshit, or move to a region or country that does not rely on cell phones for the majority of their entertainment.

Also, If Tinder is not getting you results after a few months when you put up good pictures/witty profile, delete it and move on to something else

Texting is an example of how in control woman are of dating. Most guys despise texting and would rather pick up the phone but woman simply won't answer. Imagine if men should try that out, simply don't text. Not going to happen of course so we are forced to play the stupid texting game.

Unless you have created the raw animal desire in her to want to meet up with you, no amount of smooth texts with correct lack of punctuation and emoticons will get her to meet up with you. It will simply entertain her and provide light validation, until she stops responding when you eventually try and ask if she would like to meet up. Roosh's texting guide is a good way to go because you won't waste too much time validating time wasters.

I think certain girls are starting to see the "logistics only" text approach as needy since you try arrange the meet up within the first 2-3 texts.

Has anyone experimented with text to call conversion? I'm experimenting with false time constraints to give the impression that I only have time to phone

But seriously, most of the world isn't like Japan so I understand absolutely what you're talking about. It depends on what kind of girl are you talking about? Are you gaming her just for the lay or for a LTR? If its just for the lay then fuck it. You should have a long list of girls to fall back on for that. Just take 10mins of your time to send them a generic text to kinda settle your logistics and to set up dates and send them all out to the girls and follow up on those who replied. Those who don't reply or are being a whiny bitch about meeting up should be deleted from your phone and memory, you have better things to move on to.

If this is a girl you are aiming to have a LTR with, send her a couple of texts a day(not more than 5) normally once in the morning and the evening. Just make sure you are always the one to initiate the end of the texting (eg. end off with "Hope you have a good day!/Go slay that meeting/Get some sleep then, see you tmr) so she gets that you're probably not going to reply again to her reply. It forms the basis of the relationship that you're not a heavy texter and if she gets together with you, its something she'll have to get used to.

Texting is a chore and I fucking hate it. I procrastinate replying sometimes by hours or days. Play it cool but play it your way.

Fucking hate texting, but prefer it to pointless phone calls. I actually consider myself quite good at building attraction/setting up meetings via text, just can't get my introverted ass motivated to do it most of the time. Girls in Asia especially seem to love texting you every hour of the day.

Absolutely. The "pitch the meet after two messages" advice is old style online game advice. It might have been effective 7 years ago, back when the primary purpose of women on sites was to find someone to meet in real life, but now that it's blown up and they're getting so much attention, often shooting back texts at 5 guys a day that are even the vaguest bit interesting, online dating is serving a secondary purpose of validation (and with some girls, the primary purpose.) The fast pitch almost never works for me now - I agree that girls are starting to disqualify on that as a sign of thirst. In my experience you have to play a validate-qualify-escalate game over the course of a fair number of texts now to lock a girl in to a meet unless she's super into you, and of course, waste more time.

Sometimes the quickest meetups I've had were the girls I played aloof with, let them entertain me, and then tossed their number in the dumpster for two weeks until I hit them up on a whim. Oh my, then they were Johnny on the spot to want to come out.

It doesn't work all the time, but that approach definitely works sometimes.

It is foreign to me, I swore off smartphones until after I turned 20 and I'm still in my early 20s. However I see the potential for it, never a worry about if you're calling at a bad time. Even when used for logistics I'd rather have a short phone call, not stretch out something like:
Let's get together Tuesday
(20 min later)
I'm busy Tuesday.
(30min after that)
How about Wednesday
(10 min later)
Okay, 6 pm?
etc etc something that could be said in a coupleof minutes takes hours while she tells her best friend what you said, asks her how to answer you etc.
Plus with a call you get tone of voice, hesitation,enthusiasm, whatever.
Bottom line: I don't like it, doesn't work for me, I don't do it. If it works for you, great.

My text game is terrible so I found out from tinder. It works when girls are actually trying to go back and forth with you. Not a no, yes, haha maybe. Text gives the girl too much control and potential for flaking is high. It's really hard to vibe with a chick over text.

You're better off meeting a girl in person and then setting up logistics and witty banter through texts. That could just be my weak spot but I try to make texting an accessory and not my main game. My main would be in person, touching, smirks, body language, etc.

No one forces men to play the texting game. That's complete bullshit. Most men just don't have the phone game skills to actually call a random slut from an online dating website and shoot the shit for 10 minutes. It's high risk and can be daunting. In fairness, most of these sluts don't have social skills either so there is plenty of blame to go around.

My game is simple if getting a number from online (calling from a day/night game lead is much easier):

1. Get number.

2. Text them so they have my number. I don't really make any statements that invites a text conversation. Tell them I'm gonna call later tonight or tomorrow.

3. If they try to start a text conversation, I might entertain it for 1-2 replies and then I say something to the effect that I need to go/do something/whatever and we'll talk soon.

4. Call

I think calling is great and think more people should do it. Why? Because if we are talking about online numbers, a phone call REALLY helps to give a sense about what kind (if any) chemistry exists personality wise. Obviously you can't determine physical chemistry until you meet but talking to a slut for 10-20 minutes will do the following:

1. Give you a real solid sense if meeting her is worth it

Speaking from a megaton of online number/text/phone call/meet experience, there is a VERY high correlation of bang success between a good phone call and a bang actually happening. All the online chatting and texting in contrast is far more unpredictable and not reliable in my view. I can predict bangs with a high degree of accuracy just based on a brief 10-20 minute phone call. When you talk to enough chicks, you just get a 6th sense about who is going to put out or give you a fair shot vs who is going to be a pain in the ass and not worth the time. Most guys will not call. The few that do can't run stranger phone game for shit. If you can pull it off, you really can make yourself stand out from the pack. If you run your phone game right, you can pretty much go on cruise mode during the actually date since the phone call in some cases becomes date 1 for all intents and purposes.

3. If you make a solid phone impression, it can do some of the heavy lifting if you meet and she is only borderline physically attracted to you. The phone call can buy you some time to run some game since she feels invested and knows enough about you to not completely shut you down right away. I've gotten a few bangs this way; riding the coattails of my phone impression to bulldoze through a lukewarm physical reception to ultimately score the bang.

Now, it isn't all sunshine and unicorns. The pitfalls:

1. You get one shot on the phone. If you are having a bad day; voice is fucked up, etc... that shit is gonna come across in a phone call. Most chicks will not forgive regardless of the circumstances. I've called chicks knowing I wasn't at 100% and definitely blew potential leads. If you do call, you must make sure you are in the proper mindset and health to make a solid impression.

2. You can run all the expert phone game in the world but if you meet and there isn't mutual physical attraction, it can be pretty awkward. This is why you limit phone calls to 20 or so minutes max. Enough to get a vibe, make a decent impression, and then get the fuck out and save the rest for the meet.

I've done some Deep Space phone game, 1-2 hrs on a single call with a online chick, and it works very well sometimes (enthusiastic bangs on the first dates that ultimately become alpha-widows) but it has backfired hardcore when the bitch ends up being a SIF. Easily avoidable if you limit yourself to 20 minutes and get a confirmation pic before meeting.

3. False-negatives. Occasionally, a chick will be having a bad day or really can't open up to someone they don't know over the phone. The only way to avoid this is through trial and error and developing a sense for a shy chick vs boring chick sounds like. The majority will be the latter.

Ultimately and this won't be a popular opinion, but I think text game is kind of gay. If you are texting and getting nudes, that's legit. But having drawn out conversations via text just seems really retarded and inefficient to me. I can learn more about a chick in a 5 minute phone call vs 2 weeks worth of texting. To each and their own I suppose.
