I actually guessed 45 years old before reading her age.

In most literary works there is a character arc where the character is introduced, faces challenges and then reaches denouement - the character ends up with a greater awareness of themselves and grows into a better, stronger person because of the challenges they have faced. So after three months in a convent what does she do? Spreads her legs for an alpha (obviously down on his luck if he had sex with her) because she had 'no idea' what she was missing out on. Notice how she mentions that an ex-model was in the convent with her - rationalising to the reader that not only hobos and ugly women like herself wind up there.

She also considered the men she had sex with 'conquests' as though it were some kind of achievement. This is the equivalent of me saying that taking a dump in the morning is a 'conquest'.
