This may be a dumb question (hence - why I'm posting here), but... I was at the gym today and noticed this hot girl (at least an 8) was talking to a guy who I assumed was her boyfriend. I happened to look in her direction, and she appeared to be looking right at me. I thought nothing of it. Then I came to realize the guy who I thought was her boyfriend was probably doing an approach on her, or maybe they were related. No idea. Personally, I thought she was totally out of my league. But later on in my workout after the guy left I notice she is looking at me like "why don't you talk to me". When I'm at the gym I have a tendency to to focus on my workouts and ignore girls. Once in awhile I will talk to a girl or do a half-assed approach to try and get some practice, but I'm usually there to workout. I'm in shape and considered attractive by most women, but I am not tall (to the say the least), so I think I'm stared at mainly out of curiosity. I tested this hypothesis once by approaching a woman who was about a 5.5 that was staring at me. She answered my question, smiled and immediately turned away from me, almost as if she was embarrassed that I acknowledged her.

Anyway, the hot girl was definitely taller than me. One time I had a very tall girl (but not as attractive, but a 6 or 7) ask me to help her on a tower machine. I just helped her. Never saw her again. I've had other women talk to me, but they are usually 4-5.

So my questions are:

1. Is this hot girl just looking for attention, and is confused that I'm not giving it to her?

2. If an attractive girl does talk to me about anything, should I just start gaming her right away (even though it's at the gym)? I think the answer is yes. But it seems getting a number close or even setting up a date is very difficult in such an environment because everyone is in the middle of their workout usually. I feel like other environments are better for approaching, but maybe I'm shooting myself in the foot when I don't fully engage the few chicks that actually talk to me at the gym.

Ah you're in that place where you see Game as being mechanical and all. Been there done that as well! Running good & efficient game in the dayshould look like a playful conversation between female and male. It takes a little practice, but you can talk to any chicks in any setting. After you're done approaching, running game outside of a club or bar is virtually the same. Getting enough comfort in to be sexual later on.

If you do end up approaching at the gym, I would make a lot of statement instead of asking questions since women dressed sexily tend to think that you just looking at them...is them giving you something of substance! Also, I would try to stay away from a # close, and try really casually to insta date her to a juicebar or something by mentioning that it's your usual routine. If she says no, then rely on a # close. If your feeling approach anxiety from gym game, try hitting the streets first to get rid of it.

I like the idea of the doing the insta date instead of asking for a # at the gym. I should have done this with the one approach I made to a 7.5 in the gym. Strangely, it was the most successful. I always seem to get better reactions from more attractive girls. She was giving off plenty of IOI, but my goal at the time was not to close her, just to make a well rounded approach to an attractive girl. I succeeded in my goal but it totally lacked any closing. She said, "well, maybe I'll see you around again". You know, just typing that right now I see where I dropped the ball. Of course, never saw her again, and it's been about 2-3 months since. She was new at the gym too. Honestly I have a hard time remembering which girls are which. My mind only sees "petite and cute", "tall and attractive", "fat", and "old". I'm kind of proud of the opener I used on her, because it can work well on any girl at the gym, and it gives me plausible deniability.

I am not as experienced as other members, but i really like to approach at gym. If i like the girl, i try to interact with her, if she is interested, I start to do exercises with her and try to build rapport, finally i go for the number( I didn't try insta date since i work out 10 pm)

About your question, You must be extremely good looking to call the attention of a 8. Don't care about height, i am also so short. You don't know and you won't know her inttentions, you always have to approach if you like the girl. Who knows? Maybe she could be an easy girl for you.

Finally, I think the gym is a neautral place. There are some girls who really work out and don't want to be bothered, but others who are open to be approached by a handsome guy. My short experience,1 month ago, a 7 with great body and a little blonde hair sent me IOI's, I ignored at the beginning, then i went to do machines and she was smiling me, I was a little direct and tell her She was pretty and i want to meet her more, she accepted. We talked for almost 1 hour, number closed.

We went in a date, we made out, i couldn't bang her(shitty logistics and schedule), actually she has a beta rich boy, but she called to see us the next week, let's go for the bang. I also got other numbers who really worked well, My advice is that if the girl paid more attention to you than her gym routine, She is really interested in you. If no, then She will just avoid you or turn off after she finished her exercise, it happened to me all the time, i still need to improve my game.

I'm probably 7.5 as far as looks, but I think my height probably puts me at 6 overall (that might be pushing it)... which makes approaching an 8 kind of silly unless she's open to it. Some really tall, and some fat girls are. I'm trying to stay away from fatties though. They seem to have a lot of mental problems, and I don't want to deal with that kind of thing anymore. Some girls can be converted to date a shorter guy after riding the cock carousel or as they're hitting the wall.

You're over thinking it way too much.

1. It doesn't matter at all why she's looking at you. That's not your problem man. What matter is what you do about it when she actually does.

2. What do you mean by "should I just start gaming her right away (even though it's at the gym)"? Define what "gaming" actually means to you cause that question sounds weird.

Second thing, you can talk to a girl anywhere and it's nobody's business what you do. When you say "it seems getting a number close or even setting up a date is very difficult in such an environment because everyone is in the middle of their workout usually" it feels like you want to do something outlandish in the middle of the day. In what way does everyone stop you? What actually happens is that you have a chat in between you sets where you tell her "we're busy now let's meet up later at xyz so we can actually talk.. " and no one knows. You don't even have to take her number right there on the spot, you can take it later when you leave the gym together if you have to.

You have to get over your height issue. There are many threads on RVF to help you. Being confident is more important than being tall. Stop handicapping yourself.

People often assume you have an issue with being short just because you're short, or you mention being short in some kind of realistic way. This isn't always the case. Reality is, girls will reject you for all kinds of reasons. I know it's factor though, and I have to calculate that factor in my approaches to some extent. It's much greater factor online than it is in person. Women online after showing some interest will often straight out ask how tall I am. This is always a bad sign. Those chicks never turn into anything no matter how I play it.

I also recommend you to read The threads of height issues. Don´t believe that all members are more than 6`(1.83), there are many who are so short, but we still get action. I am just 1.77 and i bang foreign girls above 1.80, As the last member said Confidence is the most important, Many girls won`t care if you are shorter as long as you are a really alpha good loking man.

I'll check it out, thanks. To me, 5' 9 isn't even short. I think anyone under 6' thinks about this issue to some degree. I'm not going to report my height here but half the girls I've ever been with were taller than me. So that should tell you where I stand. <-pun intended. I just try to make the most of what I can to improve, like anyone else. Haven't yet really received a genuine return on my investment (I want a solid 7 or 7.5), but I think I'm headed in the right direction.
