RE: MathGuy -- Game Journal
@ksbms: Exactly!
One thing I'd like to add that 'game' isn't this one-dimensional skill, but a very multifaceted and layered set of skills. You can have next to no trouble approaching in a confident, charming manner that sweeps a random girl on the street off her feet in a flurry of emotions, but at the same time ruin the potential for a lay through poor planning for logistics, text game that makes you look needy or tryhard or activates her anti-slut defense. This is a problem I've had for some time. Another example I can use is of this guy I heard about who gets laid very regularly in nightclubs, because of how comfortable he is in getting physical right off the bat in those environments, but in the daytime is a stifled neurotic wreck who can't even do a single approach.
If you want success, you are going to want to track your performance in the multiple sub-aspects of 'game,' these include
-Basic social skills (eye contact, being aware of the rhythm of the interaction, awareness of social faux-pas, being aware of the fact that saying what you're yearning to say can break the structure of the interaction and be counterproductive to your intent, etc)
-Willingness to approach (in general, in 'daygame,' in 'nightgame,' on your way to work, etc)
-Body language (conveying confidence, sexuality, status, excitement, etc through your posture/smile/gestures/walk; reading the body language of others)
-Texting (any form of written communication - SMS, email, Facebook, chat apps like WhatsApp, Snapchat; intuition and knowledge of the dynamics of text game, like the effect the length/timing/wording/emoticons/images will have on her)
-Banter (capacity to tease, joke around, spice up interactions with humor)
-Storytelling
-Tenacity
-Social proof / preselection (presence of other men, women, and ideally attractive women who enjoy your company)
-Techniques like push/pull, breaking rapport, etc
-Knowledge and intuition of the principles of influence (I highly, highly, highly recommend reading 'Influence' by Robert Cialdini)
-Knowledge and intuition of how women really are (the behaviors and characteristics of men they find attractive, hypergamy, the kinds of things that excite/arouse them*, translating and speaking in girltalk)
and so much more...when I get to a more advanced level, I'd love to break all of this down and create my own personalized guide. My point is, 'game' can be a very nebulous concept, and so when you want to improve your 'game' you're going to want to break it down into the nitty-gritty details, then track your progress in each aspect.
*highly recommend reading the book "My Secret Garden"
