To fellow Europeans
Hi Guys, in a bit of a dilemma

I'm an American with an EU passport who had some problems with university applications and want to either learn/work or self teach something thats highly lucrative

I have some major back problems and am not very good with visual spacial things and dont have too much of a liking for IT related things. So that eliminates most if not all trades and computer related things,I could be wrong but I'm a bit fucked in this sense.

I'm not closed minded in what I can or can't do,anyone on the continent have any suggestions it be greatly appreciated. I do not want to live in the states (who does these days ) so it be better to get a certification/training or work experience in the EU. Said universities I applied to were all in the EU.

No idea where to look or start

sales/finance/trading??

How old are you?

Are "major back problems" something that can be improved? Not that this would change your work situation, but would be a good idea anyway.

Early twenties, don't want to be too specific on it but it's a legit medical issue that can't be solved.

If your problem is "legit", is there any way you can get SSDI? or some other type of government program? that will give you at least survival money? Depending on the amount of money, you can move to a country where you can live well with this money, and you pick up from there. Take a couple of months to get to know the culture and you will have time to explore different options. Visit artisan shops, small factories ... maybe you find you pick up a passion for brewing beer or making cheese, or making custom leather shoes, or flying air balloons ... go out, explore and see different options while maintaining your mind open.

Not an expert on SSDI, but it may have a US residence requirement.

Be a lawyer.

They don't do physical work, and its not computers. Plus if you do come back to the US I'm sure being a lawyer from whatever country you became one in is a valuable thing to some big international law firm.

Just a limitation ,not a disability,not impoverished. Exactly what I'm doing ,but more interesting/wacky/niche ideas also could be good from people on the forum who were in a similar situation of ''recon'' or are doing something cool,profitable and not just making ends meet that maybe is something not very well known.

Sales is a good idea. It is an skill necessary for all trades so it is transferable; you will expand your network; you will practice game; you will get to know many other people and it will expand your current bubble.
