I often meet girls who are "reformed sluts".

When I was living in a very large coastal US city a few years ago, the Tinder game was good. Mine was... meh... but either way I went on an incredible amount of first dates. Before I locked down a good system/routine to close the deal, I think that it was quite variant as to who was a real "slut" - OUTSIDE of the tell tale signs of tattoos etc...

Why not just ask? And ask for some details, not in an accussatory way, but out of genuine curiousity as to how her past relationships failed, who's fault was it, etc...

Of course she'll at a minimum embellish her side of the story, but you will get a great view into her mind. For example, if she exclusively bashes her ex for being a total jerk/fuckboy whatever, then you know she's got a victim mentality. How about the other side? Do you guys try to hide that you are a player? Like, what if she asks you about exes and you bring up more than a couple? I can see some girls getting worried if they already like you (so no preselection switch being flipped by hearing about past conquests) but if they think you are a player they will be more guarded around you.

This is getting into madonna/whore issues. In 2017 America it's safe to assume every woman is a slut to some degree. Why wouldn't they be? Unlimited options and no societal constraints. If you had that power and opportunity, wouldn't you take it? Are men really surprised by 30+ notch counts anymore?

The degree to which she minimizes her sluttiness and doesn't let it effect other aspects of her life is key. Does she wear it with pride or does she have a sense of decency? Her ability to only be a slut for her man if in a relationship is also key. From my experience, if the girl is really into you, not only will she not ask these questions- she will stop you from talking about previous relationships and other girls.

This is probably due to their internal framework warning them not to ask questions they don't want answered truthfully and from that, blowing up the fantasy of a new, fun, and mysterious man. Knowing she's only one of many to have been down this road with you, and knowing the others failed in the end, doesn't fit her romantic comedy happy ending.

If she's not really into you (yet), it's a shit test that is easily dealt with using agree and amplify.
