There's already a well-established thread on the RVF forum dedicated to discussing the merits of practicing no-fap, but I feel very strongly that this one issue is so significant that it warrants its own thread: the phenomenal effects that many men have reported whilst engaging in abstinence from masturbation, including myself, especially in terms of generating female attention. These effects, at least in my own case, have mostly taken the form of extremely strong IOIs from random women on the street but have also included a heightened receptivity of women to being approached.

Since I hit day nine of my no-fap journey, I went from invisible in the eyes of women to suddenly being noticed, with women casting me discreet but still noticeable side glances at first. Not only this, but the couple of women that I did approach who'd I'd noticed doing this were extremely receptive to my indirect approach, but ultimately conceded that they had boyfriends, even though they'd been on the verge of giving me their phone numbers. This phenomenon is in stark contrast to how women had behaved for the first six months of my time in Leipzig, i.e., by rolling their eyes if they noticed me making eye-contact with them and looking visibly pissed off, or otherwise flicking their heads away quickly if I glanced at them as if they were trying to clear their hair of wasps. This was pretty much the same experience that I'd had with British women on the street, so it's something I'd already come to expect from women in the Western hemisphere.

But in the last few days, these IOIs have been getting stronger and much more obvious. Today after I had finished work and headed into Leipzig, I had a very cute girl in a beret, probably around the age of 30, make sustained eye-contact with me as she was passing me in the opposite direction who flashed me a wry smile after we'd eye-fucked a little. About half an hour later I saw the same woman and, bingo, the same procedure as last time, but an even more sustained look this time. I resolved there and then to do a direct approach, but I lost her after she had quickly disappeared into one of the bookstores. Even crazier things happened after I did my nightly shopping tonight, though: I was in one of the aisles in my local supermarket and become aware of a woman, student-type in her mid-20s, suddenly looking at me as a I turn around. Feeling extremely horny after having ramped up my zinc this morning and registering day 28 of no-fap, we just stare into each others' eyes for what seems like an eternity, but which was probably around 4 or 5 seconds. I could truly cut the sexual tension with a knife and she ended up biting on her bottom lip as I was doing this. I also had other girls checking me out in the same supermarket, girls giving me long stares down the aisles. The cherry on the cake came when I was at the checkout and a MILF carrying a leopard-skin bag and kitted out in denims kept glancing up as she was putting her shopping into her bag and smiling directly into my eyes. I look around me to check she wasn't perhaps smiling to somebody she knew behind me, but there's just this woman who seems totally oblivious to what's taking place. The woman in the leopard-skin bag even seems to break out into a little jig as I stare back into her eyes. This all happened in the past half-hour or so and I feel like either I've truly lost the plot and ended up in la-la land or this no-fap is some potent shit that really is still far too much under the radar on this forum and elsehwhere.

If there is one thing that has transformed the attention I get from women it is no-fap and I've tried a boatland of things: working out, dressing better, nootropic stacks, different types of openers and venues, but no-fap takes the cake by an insane margin. It's so potent in terms of the positive attention you'll receive from random women, you'll think you've crossed the rubicon of sanity. As I'm writing this I can hardly believe what I've just experienced in the last few hours, it's that mental, it's that intense. I feel like wherever I go now, I'm a casino.

Aside from the benefits of vastly increased female attention, the benefits to other areas of your life, such as vastly increased energy, improved cognitive ability and confidence are also worthy of their own threads, but I don't have the time to do that here.

You guys really need to get with no-fap programme, especially those amongst you who are struggling to get IOIs and positive responses from approaching women. It's been nothing less than a game-changer for me. As for any guys that have experienced these results for themselves, it would be good to read more about them here.

While I'm not saying what you experienced isn't due to No Fap, but how do you know it's just a lucky string of good luck with the IOI's recently? Or perhaps your sexual perception is amped up due to not having a release (i.e. these IOI's have always been there for you but you've never noticed them)?

Don't get me wrong, I think NO FAP has some real benefits. I never could make it past 10 days myself, but I never saw an increase in IOI's from females. I just don't know how a female can be more attracted to you if you haven't masturbated in 14+ days. It's not like you have an invisible aura around you that glows the longer you don't fap.

I would be interested if other No Fappers have experienced an increase in IOI's after not fapping for long periods of time.

That's a very good question. I can be sure because I was always acutely aware of how women were responding to me in the past, having very good peripheral vision, so the argument that I'm simply more perceptive now than previously is very hard to substantiate in my case.

im on around day 35 nofap and ive noticed a few things.
1) some people said my voice is deeper and similar a radio announcer ( but i feel like it changes day to day)
2) im more witty when talking with friends
3) i still dont have the confidence to approach nor do i notice any IOI's from girls (maybe cause i still cant hold eye contact with someone unless im actually talking to them.
4) dont notice any increase in energy, i still need a LOT of sleep even though im working out, taking zinc/multi

I think there is a sound scientific basis for no-fap increasing a man's attractiveness. The first reason is increased testosterone levels. Women perceive this subconsciously and respond to it. It works with Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT), but I think it is stronger with naturally increased levels of T. I think there are a number of secondary hormones that are optimized with naturally high T that provoke a better response from women than TRT.

Besides TRT, I think it's primarily a matter of body language. A single man who has not fapped and who has to meet and seduce a new woman to get sexual release has an energy and drive that shows up in his body language. It's not something you can consciously achieve. It just appears in your body language, and women respond to this killer instinct subconsciously.

A similar effect comes from weight lifting. When you build strength and stamina, it puts a spring in your step, and you move differently due to having larger muscles. This difference in body language is a basic form of sexual signaling to a woman.

Having game and knowing that you can get hot women in bed does the same thing. It changes your confidence, in a way that is unconsciously expressed in your body language. Women pick up on all of these things.

Going back to the main point, I think it is scientific fact that no-fap will affect the way women perceive you, and the difference is attractive to them.

Hang in there, bro. I don't have any problems making solid eye-contact with women. In fact, when I do make eye-contact, it's guaranteed to be intense these days and, as I described above, to result in some pretty interesting responses by women here. Curiously, the younger and hotter they are, the better the results seem to be, although I've even had some grannies give me the eye, too, with a cheeky smile when I catch them looking.

Where I can relate to you, though, is that my approach anxiety is still inhibiting me from acting on my instincts in most cases, even though I've made progress with this in recent days. For example, I made my first completely cold direct approach on a girl on Saturday, which would have been unthinkable for me before I boarded the no-fap train.

Keep it up, I promise you will see benefits. Are you also taking zinc, too? If not, start taking zinc supplements, since doing so for me has had the positive effects of amplifying the effects of the no-fap.

As someone who's been doing this shit on and off for the past few years, I can definitely attest to its efficiency in this regard.

Been getting back into it, and just today on day 6 I had an episode of a bank teller going out of her way to start a longer interaction with me, the circumstances were quite funny actually. Mind you, she was a bit older than I am ( mid 20s at least ) and taken, but still she was very attractive by Eastern European standards, solid 7-8 in my book. I've had it happen over and over again at this point - going about my day and doing my thing, with girls going as far as making first moves themselves often enough. Objectively speaking, I'm not that particularly good looking, for the record.

You're a lot more noticeable on their radar in general, this much should be obvious to anyone who gives it a try. Today I actually paid attention to this aspect in particular, and saw a recurring pattern of chicks turning around and checking me out for split seconds a lot more or locking strong eye contact.

It boils down to the way you're carrying yourself. It might be the T spike around this period of my streak, but today that shit was VERY obvious. Compared to the last time I walked in that same bank office to handle shit 2-3 weeks ago, my vibe took a complete 180.

lol im just super jealous especially when looking at the reddit nofap forum, all these mofos on like a 2 day streak saying OMG this girl approached me or im getting so much IOI's from girls.

I feel like I should just try and give extended eye contact to all girls just to increase my perception to IOI's and social cues.

My feeling in your case is that once you start getting the confidence to look girls right in the eye and maintain it with them, you'll then start to see the results that others have reported.

I've had similar results: getting IOIs all over the place after something like 10(?) days of nofap, even noticing increases as early as just a couple of so. I don't actually think it has to do with not fapping by itself-like graffix said, it's not like it puts off an invisible aura or anything-but my better demeanor and attitude in itself because of the change is likely why. It could also just be noticing them more: perhaps as I get into a more and more sexual mood compared to when I was fapping, I'm way more in tune to IOIs I get and am more inclined to notice women being attracted to me. Perhaps it's both. Anyway it's not like it removes the legwork: I've still got to make the approaches and get results, but I've been having a lot more fun and success since beginning nofap.

I didn't jerk off for 45 days and I had a bunch more attention from women. Then I did it again and the attention faded. Then I stopped again and the attention came back.

I won't try to explain it but I think the effect is real. I gave up jerking off in order to get harder erections, which I think is a healthy thing to do regardless.

In retrospect I wish I had kept abstaining after 45 days, instead of doing it again. Apparently 90 days is a magic number.

Mate you've been taking other action beside Nofap.
No one thing is the answer it's a combination of things.
Working out ,style etc has all been lifting your SMV and confidence.

I could say after I get out of the gym after deadlifts etc boosting my T ,I get more IOIs and I get heaps more a day or 2 later but hey I'm walking tall with a tight core after deadlifts.

I agree with Nofap but it's just one tool I use...I'm trying no alcohol at the moment and entering into daygame.

I found mediatation also helped as part of nofap.
I haven't done it for most of the year and I don't feel as sharp.I need to do both now its all conected for me.Lifting nofap, mediatation etc .I drop one thing and everything suffers it seems.

Perhaps "an invisible aura of attraction" DOES indeed surround a non-fapper, due to increase in pheromone secretion. This in turn probably has to do with increased testosterone levels.

Of course, pheromones are a little bit controversial subject that hasn't been studied very thoroughly in humans.

I did it once for about 80 days and yeah it gives you sex glasses.

I've been doing no porn/yes fap for about two months now, and I like it better for a couple of reasons:

1) No random coming in my pants/wet dreams

2) Turned on by girls in real life

3) Standards don't lower as much

4) Don't feel the need to jack it as compulsively, which is the real benefit of no-fap. It's like how super obese people can lose a shitload of weight at first by just cutting out candy and soda, 80/20 rule.

5) When I do fap, it's to memories of past conquest, ego boost

and most importantly

6) It's sustainable. You can see porn as the heroin that it really is and avoid it like an ex junkie.

What if you get sex somewhat every week, but you are not fapping, do you feel the need to release sexual tension?. The best i've felt is about 7-15 days of fap and non-sex. After that I just become crazy because anything can give me blue balls. Bu having sex every week with a plate definately don't give me that much of an increase in IOI or sexual awareness.

But here's the deal: When I added these various different elements to my lifestyle, none of them - collectively or individually - led to any discernible difference regarding attention from women. But as soon as I stopped fapping - and normally after around a week - the eye contact from women kicked in. I know this isn't coincidence, since I've been on quite a few no-fap streaks since 2014 and the outcome is the same every time, irrespective of whether I've been working out, dressing well, eating well, et.c., so your assumption that the secret to the eye contact must lie in the mix of improvements doesn't explain it.

Get the conversation going. Practice by talking to strangers.

I talk to girls who I am not interested in, it doesn't always have to be about pickup and getting the digits. However, if you run into a girl and the conversation is going well, drag her for a coffee or better yet something stronger.

I can also assure you, if you didn't get attraction from women by working out. You didn't work out hard enough.

I've been doing approaches, but very sparingly and, if truth be told, my verbal game is still piss poor when I do open a girl. I've noticed I hit the following snag when I do open: I'll make a situational comment about the store, e.g., that it's like an Aladdin's cave because of all the odd shit the shop sells, the woman will then concur and often with a smile on her face, but won't say much else in response, which I take to be a sign that she's not interested. I then kick myself for not having asked follow-up questions, but at the time because she didn't show more interest and often is already moving away from me at that point, I decide to bail the set, thinking that she's not interested. I was going to post about just this problem, as it happens, before you commented on my post, since it's really been bugging me over the last week, especially given the good eye contact on the streets, which, incidentally, is actually getting stronger and not weaker as time progresses.

You're on the right track. The best way to overcome anxiety is to go direct. Indirect creates excuses and questions in your head on why whatever you're doing is wrong. Direct game is playing the numbers game, but if you can do direct consistently (every day do an approach or two, and approach tons on your free time), you will be much better off. It's a great starting point, but you'll come to realize indirect is more effective in the long run. But direct game works wonders on your self-confidence and DGAF attitude. I remember last year when I had more time, I was doing direct game nonstop about every other day approaching 20-30 girls/day. If you can do it that much, it becomes second nature to approach and you'll end up doing it randomly during your daily routine instead of having to go out of your way to do it.

OP, you still seem hung up on analysing your approaches and quantifying IOIs.

Your approach anxiety is due to one thing. You care to much. You're too outcome dependant. The best way too smash through any anxiety is to expose yourself to it's source as much as possible. Terrified of heights? Go sky diving. Anxious about talking to girls? Go talk to 1000 girls. With enough exposure your mind becomes conditioned not too care. You're 'stuck in a swamp' because your attention is misplaced. You're paying too much attention on every detail of every approach. By waiting for IOIs you're letting the girl the take initiative when you should be.

I hate IOIs. It throws off my game. I like to spot my target first and swoop in on them unexpectedly. Surprise/charm approach. When they see me coming, it's too obvious. I don't like to justify their charms. I approach on my own terms bitch, not yours! The other day I walked into a coffee shop, and this girl was giving me mad IOIs. She was sat down with 2 other broads. I pussied out of the approach like a punk. IOIs are just another way girls manipulate men. See a girl that makes your cock hard and approach on your own terms.

I've never lasted more than a week of nofap, but this thread has motivated me to try again.
