First of all, this has been reported under the headline...

Man receives an extremely strange and unexpected text from a girl the day after a date

"Strange & unexpected" are not words anyone round these parts would use to describe the following exchange, I'm sure...

Little did he know that their fresh ‘friendship’ would be over in a matter of seconds after this.

The Reddit user who goes by the name of ToastedCookieOats, shared the string of bizarre texts saying “Today after a first date. I guess I’m not allowed to not like her?”

Damn lol, good laugh. Chicks aren't used to being rejected or having all their presumptions shattered. If there's one thing I'd tell any guy getting into game, it's that traditional 'dates' usually do more harm than good.

This reaction is neither strange nor unexpected where the person is a narcissist.

For those of you who came in late, The Last Psychiatrist sums up narcissism like so:

He's a man in a glass box, unable to connect. He thinks the problem is people don't like him, or not enough, so he exerts massive energy into the creation and maintenance of an identity: if they think of me as X...

But that attempt is always futile, not because you can't trick the other person-- you can, for an entire lifetime, it's quite easy. But even then, the man in the box is still unsatisfied, still frustrated, because no amount of identity maintenance will break that glass box.

If the other person is also in a glass box, then you have a serious problem. If everyone is in their own glass box, well, then you have America.

Another way it's described is that a narcissist sees themselves as the protagonist of their own film. Which wouldn't be so much of a problem if they didn't therefore assign lesser roles or extras parts to everyone else in their lives. It's not that they aren't people, it's just they're ... less important. Not fully real.

This is the reason the ending of The Sopranos was both accurate and set off so many rages in its viewers: because it's Tony, a lethal narcissist, dying, but with no end credits, no final swell of the main theme. That's not how it's meant to happen, even if it actually does reflect well the onset of death: cue curtain, no encore, cut to black.

It's fairly clear that something sets off the woman's rage. All rage comes from a narcissistic injury. It comes from a strike to the rager's identity. Therefore: what about this guy constituted a threat to her identity?

The reply he made that triggered her off was this: "No, not at all. I felt the same way, so I'm really glad you said that." That is: I don't see you as a romantic partner.

In this context, the words are the threat to the woman. She cannot fear being raped or beaten up by the dude, he's at the other end of a phone line, so it's those words which cause the rage.

And why? Because -- the narcissist being the protagonist -- she's pissed he's flubbing his lines. He isn't playing the part of the loser that she had cast him in, said casting session being the date and her reasons for casting him in that role being his income ($55K), his career (carer), and his physicality (balding and limping). He doesn't get to think she's not desirable, that's meant to be for guys that turn her on. Extras aren't meant to have independent judgement.

She desperately tries to get him back on script: "I know rejection stings but you don't have to get salty..." -- here, idiot, here's what you need to be saying, stop doing that whole fully-formed person thing, it's scaring the fuck out of me that you might see through the identity I've constructed for myself.

And to top it off: "If you didn't think there was anything there why the fuck did you text me today?" I have cast you in the role of the loser and/or disinterested guy who doesn't call back, why didn't you follow your fucking script, don't you know you're supporting role?

That question is genuine, by the way, guys. She genuinely cannot conceive why a guy would call back if he wasn't interested in her. Just take a moment and think through the implications of that statement and what it says about a woman, shit, a human being who thinks that. That is a measure of how deeply the idea that he might have ideas or judgments of his own impacts on her.

Let's leave aside that necessarily she has been told, or has convinced herself, that she is desirable and special and all that. You are looking at the condition afflicting much if not most of the female population in the West right now.

The reality is that she very strongly knew why he rejected her - mostly due to her weight.

She simply was utterly deluded about her market value due to the fact that she banged hotter man.

That is the old misunderstanding that we bemoan about women - it does not matter who bangs you, it matters who will want to have a LTR with you.

That guy was a deep Blue Pill Beta with no game.

She is at least 100lbs overweight, which makes her a terrible hambeast.

Also - her statements about him "blowing it" is nuts - she already rejected him in the beginning. Actually this conversation may have resulted in him being more attractive to her, since he showed at least some balls.

Most of the men here would have probably turned around and walked off when being catfished by a SIF.

Agreed. Two real winners are texting each other here. If she was 100 pounds heavier than she appeared in her pictures, why the hell did he even think of texting her? He initiated all of this back and forth. Why didn't he just walk out when he saw that she was enormous? Even look at his original text. He lost it just three words in. "Hey" is okay. "I" is okay. You can start sentences with I. "Just" sets you up for failure.

This just shows me that, for all the evils girls blame on men "they only think with their penis", men are usually the nicer, more civilized party.

The guy has no interest in her whatsoever and probably couldnt wait to GTFO of the date, but still he felt obliged, by politeness or by pity for this obese creature, to send her a courtesy text.

Cant remember the last time I received a courtesy text from girls, even those that I did bang and who did have a great time with me (including my girlfriend back on our first date)

He is an MD? Paramedic seems to be the case since he carries patients down stairs, unless you have other info.

Either way - regardless of the job - bitches are deluded.

One of the reasons that fat hambeasts like that can act up like that is the massive gender ratio imbalance in the West. Also possible that this is Australia where some areas are so fucking expensive, that 55k is working poor. It is also in NYC and other parts of the US.

Still - we all know that those things don't matter much in terms of female real attraction. That guy could be unemployed making 15k/year and she would be all over him, but this takes a different kind of attitude and work on yourself. On the other hand - if a guy had made those changes, then it is unlikely that he would want to tap that cow.
