The frequency isn't that important, the regularity is. With me it is roughly 9:30am every day. Your body naturally conditions itself to evacuate on regular intervals. 3 times a day or one every 4 days isn't an indication of anything as long as it is regular. That said, a poor diet can interupt this and make you irregular.

The OP is right, along with blood pressure, the regularity of evacuating waste and the condition of the stool is probably the prime leading indicator of your general health.

I maintain my regularity with psyllium husk in my smoothies. Psyllium is the active ingredient in metamucil.

I don't follow. The normal range for healthy adults is 0.5-3/day.

My dad eats super clean and he's like this. He's just a shit machine, and like a stereotypical old guy he takes his time. We've been on our way out the door, he says he has to drop a duece, I take my shoes off and start watching TV

I voted in the poll early, but I wanted to chime in with my own narrative.

I take one shit a day, between 10:30-11am, every day, like clockwork. You could set your watch to my morning deuce. Once in a while, I'll take a second one in the afternoon if I haven't been eating enough roughage or vegetables, and the system didn't push everything out during the morning shift. Anything beyond that is a sign that I've been eating like shit (no pun intended) and everything's thrown off. I skip a day maybe once a year, if that.

Normally I take 1 crap a day. But when travelling I usually don't take a shit for at least the first 2 days. Does this happen to anyone here? When I change my surroundings I have no urge to take a shit for days! It's weird.

Me too. I recall when I first went to Houston, I didn't shyt for a week and I was getting real scared. The reason being, I eat a shytload and not shytting was most abnormal. I was knocking down pizza, rice, stew, steak and all that other shyt they eat in Texas and nothing was coming out.

Finally, one afternoon, I locked myself in the toilet and I spent about 30 mins forcing myself to shyt. I felt like I was giving birth. With all that said, when I finally looked down, sweating bullets, to my dismay, I saw nowt but a mere pebble, my sole tribute to a week of binging Texas style.

I was quite disappointed (yet relieved) at the same time.

My clogging skills are legendary. I take one shit a day, and it's massive. Not wide, as my virgin asshole doesn't stretch much, but long. Fills up a third of the bowl at least.

For smaller toliets, I need to flush mid-shit in order to avoid causing plumbing problems.
