"No. Just get your things and go." I can tell she's absolutely serious, so, fuck it, I crawl out of bed and begin getting dressed. She goes into her bathroom and shuts the door.

I grab my bag, put on my shoes, and before heading out the door knock on the bathroom door.

"Stephanie, tell me what's going on."

"You've been texting your ex since we hooked up!"

I pause for a moment and piece the situation together in my head. She obviously watched me unlock my phone while we were chilling and drinking on her couch, remembered my passcode, then got out of bed in the middle of the night and went snooping.

"Have you been going through my phone?"

Bathroom door whips open and I can see the crazy in her eyes as she harshly says, "I have every right to protect myself any way I see fit." I shit you not, those were her exact words.

Like I said, I can see the crazy in her eyes, so I simply mutter "Fair enough" and turn to leave. She walks past me and tells me that my ex is a good woman, then opens the apartment door. As I'm walking out she tells me, "You need to get your shit together."

I stopped at a convenience store on the way home for coffee then walked the rest of the way home processing what had just transpired then napped until the early evening.

So that happened. Haven't contacted her since. On to the next. A few thoughts -

1.) I'm not sure why she was so upset that I'd texted my ex. I hadn't texted my ex anything to the effect of, "I wanna fuck you," or anything of the sort. For the most part it was tying up loose ends after almost eight years together. Even if I was texting my ex such things, this woman had no right to go sneak out of bed and go snooping through all my shit. I wonder if she went through my entire phone. Especially wonder if she saw the text message I sent to my best friend the night that she and I first hooked up, which simply read "Smashed."

Either way I'm guessing she caught feelings really quickly and wanted to "lock me down."

2.) The sex was really, really good. It felt really, really good knowing that after almost 8 yrs. that I could pull a hot (but crazy) girl with what I'm sure is very rusty game.

3.) Stephanie and I had never discussed exclusivety, so I'm not sure where she got the idea that I owed her anything other than the good time we were already having together. Funny thing is, if she had simply asked where we stood I would have simply told her that I was interested in seeing where things go and left the answer open ended but satisfactory enough for her to assume whatever works best in her mind.

4.) I currently use a cheap smartphone without fingerprint or facial recognition, so for future situations my passcode is more complicated. Planning to upgrade to a new phone when the warranty on my current device expires; definitely getting something with biometric unlocking, and then changing to passcode-only if I spend the night at a girl's house because if I encounter this kind of crazy again I wouldn't have put it past someone like her to hold the phone up to my finger or face in the middle of the night to unlock it. I'm a heavy sleeper.

5.) Everyone I've told this story has had the reaction of "you dodged a bullet." Absolutely. Better to figure out the crazy a couple of weeks in, rather than a couple of years down the line if things went anywhere.

6.) Maybe raw dogging this woman wasn't the best idea, so if I escape this one consequence free I'll be set as I plan on getting a vasectomy soon anyway. It's been nearly three years that I've been entertaining the idea and I'm reasonably confident by now that I don't want to reproduce. Time to act on that.

7.) About a week before I began talking to this girl, I was discussing the online dating scene with my assistant manager, and he told me, "Online you're either gonna meet fat or crazy girls." I responded with, "Well, I don't fuck fat girls so..." and then this happened.

Hope you all were entertained. Looking forward to my next notch, I feel like I'm 20 again after exiting a very long LTR and banging someone I found intensely desirable relatively quickly. Thanks for the reply, AOCMB. The entire experience taught me a number of things in very quick order and I appreciate the lessons you've drawn in addition. The whole experience was one hell of a ride. It was a great post-relationship success though (at least concerning fucking a very attractive woman in reasonable time after last relationship ended) and pushed me back to taking the study and implementation of game seriously.

I'm also planning to hit the gym next week for the first time in a decade, and making that a multiple trip weekly routine. This year has been a crazy one, new job title with increased pay, LTR over with, spent two weeks exploring Tokyo, had my first post-relationship fling. Life is good overall and only looking better.

Perhaps that she'd been twice divorced at 26 and 34 should have been a huge warning sign but I was just having a good time. My suspicions of women have been healthily re-instated.

I think the idea of a woman going nuts over game knowledge to be annoying but interesting and slightly hilarious. If anybody saw Bang, Day Bang, or Game on my Kindle they'd immediately think "aspiring pickup artist type" but seeing Influence: The Psychology of Persuasion and The 48 Laws of Power would probably rationalize it thinking that primarily, in my line of work, I'm a salesman first. I was wondering if any of you guys know about car insurance. Mines pretty high but it does have good coverage. I may switch to an equivelent if its a fair amount cheaper. I've never gotten into an accident. And to get a lower rate on my plan they want me to have some usb tracker thing in my car for 6 months. Sounds orwellian.

Okay, you've gotta share that story.

For the most part I have been lucky in regards to women (lifetime notch count is below thirty, though), but most of my life has also consisted of one failed relationship after another, typically running its course after a few weeks or months. The 8 yr. LTR I recently got out of was easily the longest of my life by a factor of at least four.

Yeah Progressive does that for one, checks to see if you speed alot and stuff like that. You basically have to shop around, different companies can give wildly different rates, and some can be negotiable (maybe all?). If you dont drive a ton and are a good driver I'd get the bare minimum. Just tell one company you got a better quote from another and see if they can match or throw in extra stuff. Do this every time it renews

They don't even try to hide their intrusiveness anymore. All this technology is creating an Orwellian dystopia where people will opt into all sorts of privacy violations to save a dollar. Need a cab? Well in many places you need a smartphone, uber or lyft, and a credit card... And you have to surrender control of your phone to the App. Loyalty cards (for stores) another clear culprit. There's a story of a woman who the computer AI determined was pregnant based on buying proclivities. Weekly print ads ended up at her house, parents see it's personalized for her for maternity stuff, and then an awkward conversation ensues. She is pregnant, and dad still didn't know at that point.

Currently happening in the UK: massive trials of facial recognition in public. People being fined, for covering faces. (That's why I'm in favor of allowing burqas, because you can sidestep the anti-masking laws). Trials have already been done in the US at major sports matches by private companies collaborating with the Feds.

At this point in Sweden you need a smartphone for paying for almost anything.

AirBnB can ban you from the platform given your views. Paypal, ISPs, and others have already discriminated against people based on political beliefs.

Things are looking increasingly dire unless you are a member of a protected class. To navigate this nightmare Kafkaesque situation, may require many of us to join protected classes (or self-identify) so we can get some cover from their attacks. The only people protected from repercussions these days are protected groups.

And this is how they fucking make it mandatory: first they do it as an incentive, and later, make it compulsory in order to get insurance at all.

Have a fucking think about this. You really think your data is only going to be used by the insurance company? You really think it's a smart idea to give information about where you're going and what you're doing to Big Tech?

Next it'll be cancellation of insurance because your car was seen stationary in the car park of the NRA.

I was watching some videos about the the usb hub thing. One version required you to have connection to your phone and it uses a TON of data. The guys was paying like twice the gigs he normally used and he couldn't figure it out at first. So you lose money there.

Also one guy was an extremely cautious driver. He breaked hard once for an emergency vehicle and it flagged for breaking too fast as HIGH risk. It also may cause the car not to start too. So far its not sounding worth it.

I did a safe drivers course and they didn't take off the require 15%. They claimed it was already taken off the cost!
