RE: Are genuine sunglasses a good investment?
I have always wondered if sunglasses were needed... I don't have any proof but I would like to think that what god/evolution (which ever camp you are in) figured out we don't actually need them. At the ripe old age of 32, every year I find more and more things I thought i needed, or was told i needed is just simply bull shit.... I think sunglasses are one of those things

Now that doesn't mean i don't own any and don't wear any.... I just have come to the conclusion like most things on this planet, it is a gigantic scam and we are all sold the same lie

I,myself generally rock the aviators by RayBan when I haven't lost them

Combine Game + Bargain Shopping.

Go to your local Sunglass Hut shop and game the cute girls working there.

After you smash one of them, mention you gotta buy some new sunglasses. She'll hook you up with her discount.

That's what I do and I get 50% off whenever I want new ones.

$150 Ray Bans I get em for $75+ tax.

Pussy + Discount.

True Player solution right there, but hate to think how much it would cost me for shots and a hotel room just to get to that stage.

Tanner from Masculine Style on the matter - http://masculine-style.com/staple-1-the-sunglasses/ and http://masculine-style.com/summer-shades/

I personally sport Ray Ban Aviators. I can see Clubmasters and Wayfarers work, but i see too many hipsters on the street wearing them that i'm inclined to stay away.

This gives a pretty good and accurate rundown of which sunglasses are suitable for different shaped faces. I wish I suited aviator glasses, but I have a roundish face and it just doesn't look right on me.

JiMarti is a brand to consider. They're one of the few high quality manufacturers outside of the Luxxotica monopoly. You can get their polarized Aviators that block both UV types for around 40 bucks.

I have a pair of those Persol. Easily the most commented on eyewear I have ever owned.

They are going on 4 years now, I just tighten the hinges every few months and they are good to go. Take them into a shop for a cleaning once in a while (the girls will do it for free), spit some game, and watch how a woman who works in a high end shop will fondle these like the works of art they are.

Listen to Christian McQueen: The girls that work in quality sunglass shops are usually hot. Get them on your side.

I never understood why people wear sunglasses. I have lived through many sunny days without any need for this bullshit.

Accessories are for women.

This is like saying you drove drunk a few times and lived so everybody should drive drunk, its completely safe. You wont see the effects of sun and uv rays on the eyes in the short term but over an extended period itll get ya...just like keep driving drunk and eventually youre either losing your license to potentially dying... the best case scenario is an increase of fine lines, maybe not a big deal to you but some of us look a hell of a lot younger than we are cause we take care of our skin, this is just another part of that . Worst case scenarios, cataracts, growths on the eyes, cancer...a good pair of raybans are cheap and simple prevention, you dont have to take it up to the most expensive hand made pairs available...medical procedures and recovery time cause you think youre some special brand of bad ass for forgoing sunglasses not so cheap and not the best way to spend ones time but do as you wish.

I usually buy whatever glasses appeases me on the cheap, then exchange the lenses in my trusted shop with all the protection I can get - I had an old Ray Ban done this way. Plus, I wear contacts correction with UV protection. There's never too much protection for your eyes, man.
