To answer the OP's question directly, I would say no - women don't despise short guys. If you asked a woman if she preferred a taller man over a shorter one, most would probably answer that the preferred the taller one, since you're giving them only two options. A few might answer that it doesn't matter, as long as he's blah, blah, blah. If you asked guys if they preferred a chick with C-Cups as opposed to A-Cups, most would probably opt for the larger option, while some would answer that it doesn't matter, because I'm more of an ass man, or something to that effect. Ask a man to describe what his ideal woman looked like, you'd probably find that of all the women he's been with, few fit the description in total. Some folks have very stringent criteria for who they'll date/fuck etc., but most aren't THAT discriminating so long as the person is otherwise attractive and a decent enough person to be around for a while.

If women truly despised short guys, there probably wouldn't be many short guys. Women would only mate with tall guys, and the short guys wouldn't pass their genes on. In reality, a lot of short guys get laid and have kids.

I think people make any excuse. Of course being short is a drawback. But it's not THE drawback. Check out the Ian Dury bio -- he was crippled and short and getting tail before he was famous.

Back in college, one of my friends who was taller than me always used my lack of height as the reason I was getting laid and he wasn't. (Yes, you read that right.)

His reasoning? "Girls are attracted to you because they just want to mother you." I'm not making that up. I couldn't make something that idiotic up.

Being short probably sucks for "online dating" but who the fuck wants to rely on online dating anyways. In the real world where people interact and don't hide behind computer screens if your taller than a girl she isn't thinking is this guy meeting my 6'0 requirement. Shes think "would spread" or "wouldn't spread" not looking through some massive 50 point checklist. You're either in or you're out.

If you are short and it bothers you that much wear some heeled boots/shoes. Heck, when im in AZ at a vacation home I've got a pair of cowboy boots that I wear all the time just cause I like them. They easily give me a 3" height lift.

I think way to many guys worry about being short that have no business worrying / obsessing about it. It's fine if you are 5'0 to be concerned. If thats the case work on your posture and wear heeled shoes. Boom girls now will think you are a half foot taller than you are.

Another thing that needs to be brought up, especially for shorter guys, is do they get intimidated by taller men. If you a 5'4-5'6 dude who gets intimidated by 5'10+ men, girls will see that.

I suspect that could be another issue for guys who let their height affect them.

I start reading "Maniac High" when I was around 14. He was pretty much the inventor of modern game in my opinion. He seemed like a normal dude that just knew what the hell he was doing and was very good at explaining it. Then the faux-high-energy-glitter-boys got hold of it and spun the PUA culture.
